It would have helped if we had not waged war on half the middle east creating some of these people, there was no problem with illegals leaving the coast of Libya before Cameron helped to destoy the Country,of course the rightwing nutters will never admit it,its always someone elses fault. Between Bush & Blair they destroyed and destabilized peace in the middle east.
In fairness because we were dealing with two despicable, deceiving, conniving, self serving con artist Bush & Blair we caught up in the worst of two Evils, and this might sound mad but I would have far took my chances with the so called enemy, FFS a choice between Bush/Blair or terrorists ........ SPOT the difference?
Bush and Blair were two grade A war criminals,we are still paying the price now for their madness, problem is many of their like still have not learnt.

Braverman finally doing good work.......It's a bit ironic tho that those on RNLI training courses are the ones who rescue this illegal influx. Heroes kicked OUT so migrants can be let IN: Lifeboat crew on training course are thrown out of three-star hotel to make way for asylum seekers... as 'thousands of migrants are put up in FIVE-STAR hotels, with one in four resorts block-booked for MONTHS' Four members of the RNLI were turfed out of the three-star hotel in Merseyside They came back to find their bags packed after taking part in a training session The migrants were driven to the hotel from the crisis-hit overcrowded Manston The RNLI crew members are now staying in a different hotel eight miles away Two four-star hotels are being used in Essex and Cambridgeshire for migrants www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11383645/Lifeboat-crew-training-course-gets-shown-door-bosses-make-way-asylum-seekers.html

And all because of Tory incompetence. Glad to see you are still in your own little wrld of non reality.. What would you call it? It cannot be Labour's fault as some people say, Tories have been in power 12 years. We are spending billions putting migrants in hotels instead of spending that money on safe facilities and employing the necessary number of people to process them. All this crap about pushing the boats back, sending them to Rwanda or other countries is just that - crap, the Tories love giving nutters an enemy to focus on. Reality is accepting that what you are doing or not doing in this case is not working and doing something that will, not more of the same. Even Braverman says it is not working.

No surprise there then.......Never mind Cop 27 bullshit Sunak get on with sorting the return of illegal immigrants...This country is at breaking point and straining at the seams. Council loses court fight to block Government from using hotels to house asylum seekers as other local authorities also take legal action Stoke-on-Trent City Council lost bid to continue a temporary court injunction Home Office said 'record levels' of arrivals to the UK caused pressure on system One council accused the Home Office of 'absence of any meaningful dialogue' At least three local authorities continue legal action against the government www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11382701/Councils-rush-court-block-Government-using-hotels-house-asylum-seekers.html

Trouble is none of the things you claim, Steppenwolf, as fact are true. Which makes your interpretation of those facts nonsensical. So for example more than two thirds of people seeking asylum reaching France between January and August claimed asylum in France. Less than 1/3 carried on to the UK. That is just fact. I'm not sure what that's got to do with anything. Most of them are denied asylum in France. We seem to accept most of our asylum seekers. Also there are many that never apply for asylum in France (or any other EU country) because they don't want to live there. For example the vast numbers of Albanians who are arriving in the UK have never applied for asylum in France. They want to live in the UK. As I said the number arriving in the EU (the whole EU) illegally from North Africa is 69,000 so far this year. And the number arriving illegally in the UK is 40,000. Think about it.

I am sure the people of Hoylake will have something to say about it, it's quite a nice part of the Wirral, I am sure this news will down like a lead balloon with the locals.

If the streets are good enough for thousands of our own citizens why the better treatment for other countries citizens? Home Office staff are 'refreshing booking.com' in scramble to book hotels for migrants costing Β£7m-a-day as Tory backbenchers revolt over accommodation in tourist hotspots Robert Jenrick said Government was trying to transfer people from Manston in Kent 'as quickly as possible' But move sparked backlash from Tories angry about prime locations in constituencies being block-booked The MPs include David Davis, Selaine Saxby, Kate Kniveton, Jo Gideon, Tom Hunt and Katherine Fletcher www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11385517/Home-Office-staff-refreshing-booking-com-scramble-book-hotels.html
