What would you call it? It cannot be Labour's fault as some people say, Tories have been in power 12 years. We are spending billions putting migrants in hotels instead of spending that money on safe facilities and employing the necessary number of people to process them. All this crap about pushing the boats back, sending them to Rwanda or other countries is just that - crap, the Tories love giving nutters an enemy to focus on. Reality is accepting that what you are doing or not doing in this case is not working and doing something that will, not more of the same. Even Braverman says it is not working. Instead of carping, what do you have as a solution to the problem? If none, you mirror Starmer. Labour have clearly stated what they will do about immigration, not their fault if you won't listen. |

It seems to be a change in the law to allow anyone coming here to claim asylum the right to stay indefinitely. Is that right? They seem to support the numbers the Tories are letting in besides the small boats invasion flotilla. Is that right? They seem very relaxed about all levels of immigration. Is that right? |

After processing each case would be finalised on individual cases. You cannot know if they are genuine asylum seekers unless you process them. Simple really. |

The Tories create the laws, so the 'lefties' are following the law. Do you believe the Tories should 'deal' with the 'asylum problem' without scrutiny? I saw a report that members of the public are mistaking migrant children in hotels as adults.
That is because the migrants lie about their ages. The authorities do not apply common sense, but the general public still have some.
When they challenge the lise they might get somewhere. I think Toreador is alluding to that?

Toreador is right that some people claiming asylum may not tell the truth about their nationality. Most do but some do not. We have systems in place now to quickly test that not just by headline language but also dialect and accent.

Sevaral news outlets were stating the same. Its seems stating the opposite works as well.
