If the government were doing it right they would be contained in razor wired enclsed camps and watched over by armed guards. That in itself would act as a partial deterent if they knew they could be stuck in their for years with just the basics they need.

The Tories have been in charge for over 12 years, a portion of that with an 80-seat majority, of course it's the Tories fault, blaming Labour is playing right into the Tories hands. Bliar started all this crap and you cannot deny the fact. And as per usual it is labour that try and force the mockers on anything the Tories attempt to end this situation. It would have helped if we had not waged war on half the middle east creating some of these people,there was no problem with illegals leaving the coast of Libya before Cameron helped to destoy the Country,of course the rightwing nutters will never admit it,its always someone elses fault.

Well let us consider the language used by politicians recently, Keir Starmer said The Conservatives’ plans to impose unfair taxes are an attack on working people and an attack on the key worker heroes who have got our country through the pandemic Once again we have the left attempting to control the language one can use. Leftists can use military metaphors until they are blue in the face (if only), those on the right cannot use anything that is factually accurate if it conjours up even the whiff of militarism. If teh complaint is inflammatory words then we need to be consistent, there is a fat chance of that so invasion sounds about right to me as the dictionary says an unwelcome intrusion into another's domain: Since some of them appear to be armed we could also call it an armed force if we really wished to. |

Can I ask should we have left Gaddaffi to commit genocide against some of his own people as he seemed determined to do as he made statements and threats against Benghazi and the inhabitants thereof. If you say no then Cameron had to act, if you say yes then we would have had to accept whatever consequences in terms of genocide ensued and it seems very likely the boats would have come anyway. |
