You are correct, the problem is the UK government. They could stop cross channel illegals entering British waters and if they did the law is on their side. Unfortunately we have a weak centrist government who choose to appease the EU rather than impose international law.

Your migration issues are not due to appeasing the EU. Before you left the EU you could have returned them to the EU bia rhe Dublin Agreement. YOU severed that privilege.

Neither have i attacked you personally, or tried to discredit you.
I am not the subject of this or any other thread. After over a year of these personal attacks, i am utterly fed up with them. Just to be clear, i am a citizen of three countries and own property which creates an income in two of them. Therefore i pay taxes and vote at various levels...local, regional, national and pay income tax in two of them.
Is that now clear?
I am not even going to staemrt on the Kim thing It seems anyone who expresses dissatisfaction with Brexit is called Kim in here.
And when if ever you wrote to a French discussion group, i shall correct your spelling. Ok?

I share Lee Anderson's sentiment.
It's about time a politician represented the views of many people in Britain. The frustration with this ongoing debacle needs to be raised in no uncertain terms.
Lefty lawyers, certain Labour candidates and charities all aiding and abetting illegal immigrants using 'loop-holes' in human rights conventions can also fuck off with them.

I’ve never called you Kim and didn’t staemrt anything However telling another poster to bog off is a personal attack not that it bothers me I’ve had far worse. So that’s two falsehoods, citizen of three countries? Isn’t two more than enough,up to you but give up on being a Brit and what happens here wouldn’t cost you would it?

Why should i give up any of my citizenships? One courtesy of a parent, one courtesy of where i was born and one of my choice.
Would you give up any of your identity,?
I cant "give up" a citizenship. Even if i could it would screw up my tax status. I enjoy being part of three nations, three cultures.
Now lets get back to the thread.
I repeat. Migrants have no connection to France in any legal way until they apply for asylum. France is not responsible for them, owe them anything including protection. They do not have a legal presence in any of the countries they passed through other than their own. France has no responsibility to take them and any returning of them to France is, I am afraid, people trafficking. The UN and international law does not allow people to be moved around like packages without their consent.
Other countries have had migrant problems for far longer and in far greater numbers than the UK. BY LAW Germany and France MUST deal with them inside 6 months. France had a backlog of 47,000 applicants at the end of 2022.The UK numbers into the hundreds of thousands.
Europe s4cur3d a deal with Turkey to house all migrants wanting to stay in the EU. THhis is behind the Rwanda 0lan bit once approved, they could start the countdown to apply for citizenship...5 or 6 years. But once in Rwanda the migrants are severed from any future connection to the UK. This is a large part of the appeals because it breaks UN law. I am afraid it wont get any better. Climate, tribzl wars and religious fundamentalists wont help reduce the terrorism.
The problem is not the migrants. The problem is the government.
My prrsonal objection is to Albanian migrants who DO come originally from a safe country. I would send them all back and process them there.

There are no loopholes in refugee and migrant law. They have been tested to destruction The UK has been trying to make some.

Funny how Kim was a citizen of two countries yesterday and now it's three today.
Almost like she's making it up. Again.
But I guess that's just Kim doing Kim things,
