everyone on the planet is an individual. some people just like to repress themselves to things like ideology and religion and excessive groupthink and cultural traditions Just as you are a collective of billions of individual cells . Individuals are only allowed to be individualist in societies that allow it ( and control the level of individualism allowed). Hence it is an illusion . doesnt mean you stop being an individual. in repressive societies you are still an individual in your own mind or when by yourself, unless you buy into the repressive ideology. even in democratic western societies you get people who repress/brainwash themselves to a group ideology such as religion

By definition one person must be an individual . I am referring to the concept of individualism and hyper individualism even more so. The irony of individualism is that you can only be as individualistic as your society allows .

Britain is not America, of course, but I would contend that we are suffering the same cultural decline and can identify many of the same culprits as being the cause.
Any dissenting views?
No dissenting views from Rackham Towers. I'm not quoting Spengler, perish the thought, but I think future generations will record the start of the 21st century as the beginning of the cultural and economic decline of the west.

Spengler of course put the beginnings of the decline even a century earlier than that, purely on account of what he called the 'Treason to Technics'.
My vote would be the late-40s, at least as far as the cultural decline is concerned. Wrt the economic, Spengler was probably correct.

In case the reference to Spengler's 'Treason' may be a little too obscure, here is the passage itself:
What he would make of today's headlong rush to stuff our universities to the gunwhales with Indians and Chinese can only be imagined.

There also seems to be a one-two-three going on
Step 1, disperse (give away for free) the value created by our culture, so it is not held exclusively by our culture. Step 2, paint our culture as 'nothing special' and something not worth pursuing further (using the consequences of 1 as evidence) Step 3, advocate for our the wholesale replacement of our culture with something that allows for far more cemented, central control - ie perhaps a mix of Islam or Chinese communism (or whatever)
We are very much at stage two and moving on to stage three.
At the end of the process, these annoying European cultures will be forced back into the world's long-term norms

I've copied this page because already the very informative link on the Hampstead Historic Club has been deleted. There are many big names connected to this society and as such it represents one of the pieces of evidence to back up my earlier post on how this all happened. It might well be American now and we might well see the CIA funded the feminist movement but trace back to 1884 and we are talking about London. All roads lead to London!

Brían sashayed off not only with the tiara, but also with a university scholarship and sponsorship opportunities. The other contestants had no choice but to clap along at the mockery made of their efforts. The spectacle served as a powerful reminder that, in today’s America, failing to show due deference to the trans overlords (or trans overladies?) is potentially career-ending.
This pattern is being replicated across public life. From sports to politics to science, wherever schemes are established to increase female participation, entitled men in stilettos are marching in to mark them as their territory. And if proof were ever
needed that transwomen are men, it can be witnessed in the fawning, gushing behaviour of the wider world towards them. Overweight women are not entered into beauty pageants at all, let alone crowned.

www.spiked-online.com/2022/11/11/an-overweight-bloke-just-won-a-miss-america-beauty-pageant/ Maybe you aren't giving the judges enough credit. Maybe they voted for this bloke to win to make a point. If he'd have lost it wouldn't have been as big a story. Now that bloke will go to the regional finals and make a mockery of that event too.

It's a clown world on here. I raised a serious issue and straight after three children reproduced that spam image to lower the quality of debate to primary school levels of intellect where they feel comfortable arguing. History of UK power structures is way above the pleb mind.

It's too complicated for you. When someone comes along with a brain I would be interested in discussing it. You could always find your way into a university debating society.
