As far as i’m concerned somewhere around sixty plus years ago these countries decided to follow the path taken by the republic of ireland and secede from our empire. They wanted out, and we let them go. They wanted independence, they got it, sod them. |

No, I'm saying that other cultures came by their usage of English via Britain's colonial empire, without which they might not be so present in British culture in the ways that they are today. |

They came by boats, trains and aeroplanes. People don't end up living in another country simply because they speak a language |
