I class dialogues into those that are potentially useful and interesting and those that are not.

I class dialogues into those that are potentially useful and interesting and those that are not. the non-useful ones being the ones you struggle to refute, of course

Nonetheless, you still have not refuted the points giving by 3 different members, as you have evaded them

It doesn't matter. It's not pertinent to the conversation and I wouldn't want it to influence how you interact with me Of course it matters. In any discussion concerning questions of identity it is crucial to understand where your adversary is 'coming from'. Everybody has an axe to grind.
If you don't want to disclose, I'll assume you are a hostile nation-wrecker, either of foreign extraction or a home-grown quisling.
I thought it was a question of culture? I haven't been influenced by / exposed to any 'alien' cultures any more than anyone else that has lived all their lives in the UK and ventured abroad on a holiday or two. My genetic profile isn't particularly relevant to my 'culture' I'm not your adversary, and I don't particularly have an axe to grind. I think you are just projecting in that respect, but feel free to assume I'm a hostile nation wrecker etc etc, if that floats your boat. Nice deflection though. If you change your mind, It'd be interesting to understand your thoughts on some of the posers you inspired. ukpoliticsdebate.boards.net/post/18360

I think people have trouble with Dan because they balk at what they view as his racism. They can't accept it and they can't get past it. They are all believers in freedom and democracy but they cannot for the life of them accept Dan or his point of view. I will add that most of them do not and possibly cannot actually describe his point of view because they spend so much time trashing him as a common or garden racist that no debate on the subject of racial difference, or the politics that might accompany it, can get further than the garden gate of the interlocutors' prejudice.
I have had similar problems over many years with both left and right having a go at me without ever knowing what I might actually think about anything at all and deliberately misinterpreting anything I might have said. I have as a result made posts that have stood out alone in the rain while the mob has either treated them as a coconut shy for their own trolling or simply ignored them mostly because they don't comprehend them and aren't smart enough to debate them. They are all fully capable of throwing coconuts, however, and that is what tends to happen to Dan every time he appears.
There seems to be a faction that feels it a duty of some kind to go round picking on people they don't know for often flimsy morally supremacist or ideological feelings about certain subjects. Their behaviour has shown that they are not so much decent and moral as they are egotistical and superior or simple aggro merchants and this they conceal behind a show of concern for almost everything. Except the things they see as opposite to their own little set of tools. Forums quickly become toxic under the influence of such faux goodness.
If this thread is to have any chance of survival it needs to have at least three views on the topic of culture theft and these need to be backed up with rationale. Otherwise it will become the usual bun fight or sneering dismissal and the subject itself will go unattended because some people don't want it to be discussed. If some people don't want some things to be discussed then they are neither libertarians, liberals or democrats. They are something else and by their fruits shall we know them.

Dan and I have discussed culture change, over in the other place I recall. We agreed that the root started its growth in the mid-sixties, a time when generally sensible educational standards went out of the window and too many young people thought they had a lifetime experience having listened to the new batch of teachers from the lefty teacher training colleges.

Indeed. The 60s ‘ permissive society’ was just a sexual revolution ( although that bit only really started in earnest in the early 70s) . It was sea change in what you were told/ allowed to think ..ie given permission by the establishment.

Thanks for your expressions of support Vanna, and you too Sally for mentioning earlier points of agreement.
I'm not really concerned about being considered a racist in venues like this one since I understand that, just as patriotism was once said to be the last resort of a scoundrel, then a resort to accusations of racism is the last and only hope for those whose argumentation is so threadbare that they’ve left themselves with no other choice.
I suspect most of my detractors here, and even more than a few of the ‘silent majority’, secretly agree with my analysis of the fairly apocalyptic future that will confront our descendants as the demographic transformation runs its course. It’s a future that’s just too painful to contemplate when you think about the birthright our own ancestors bequeathed to us, a birthright we are in the active process of complacently sharing with more-or-less anyone who cares to turn up and lay a claim on it.
Like Enoch Powell, I feel as a prophet without honour in my own land but once awakened there’s no return to slumber I’m afraid, and what’s been seen and understood can never be unseen. That’s why so many wish so fervently that the prophets would just shut up and go away, and when they don't, but insist instead on sticking around to continue to broadcast the not-so-glad tidings, that's when the hostility begins.

Looking across the years though it is clear we have destroyed ourselves. The Frankfurt School would have never made any headway unless the people supported them. People drink the Kool Aid now as they did in the past. Take Byron for example. He was dumbing literature down and was probably the first to create pulp fiction for women for sexual gratification. He is regarded as great now. All these reformers met a lot of grief at the time but were later accepted. Take Byron's popularity, take RCA's building of a propaganda network across America with radio and mix in a bit of the Frankfurt school stuff and you have a BBC soap opera. Indeed anytime you see a technology take off at unprecedented speed you can be pretty sure the original purpose was military. It was for radio and it was for the computer.

It went further than a sexual revolution but it's funny that you mention the 70s because it was that time when the effects of the late 60s education changes became fully apparent and from that point the influences were magnified and the permissiveness wasn't confined to sex but to the whole area of social life and hugely exploited by Blair and continued by the Tories to this very day.

At various times I've been in the same place as you and almost certainly for the same reasons. The accusations of racism and many other isms develops in the mind of those who look for a cause. I have never been a racist unless that means I fight against the destruction of our customs and social structure; at the moment I appear to be well on the losing side through lack of support, mainly due to the word that those who are affected by it claim it has no meaning.....woke.
