I doubt if the route will be stopped, it is an existing commercial ferry route but I daresay they will check the lorries more closely. Only so much you can do however. If they shut off that route, I imagine they will find another. Very much doubt if these people will claim asylum however, they will instead be illegal immigrants.
You derided the Governments plans to crack down on food delivery workers and similar. Actually it's the beginning of the right thing to do if they actually intend to do something rather than just tell the tabloids they will do something. The full right thing to do is crack down on illegal immigrants working illegally but allow (in fact require in most circumstances) asylum seekers to work in controlled occupations to earn money to pay part of the cost of their accommodation while their claim is processed.

Talking about the Albanian Criminal Smuggling Gangs in todays media Albanian migrants are using a new smuggling route to the UK as an alternative to small boats, according to reports. People smugglers are providing passage in lorries from Santander on the north coast of Spain to Portsmouth for £14,000. The route is being advertised on social media including TikTok using emojis and images of lorries, ferries and landmarks in London. The path means migrants are less likely to be picked up, identified and deported back to Albania.I heard something about this on the radio this morning. Will this route be stopped? I wouldn't have thought so. ZG and his deluded lefty buddies will be at Portsmouth waving their 'Refugees Welcome' banners. Its probably been running for a long time , they bring Drugs in that way via the large container Port of Antwerp some are bound to get through

In the Media today
The UK was hoping to strike a deal with the EU that would allow it to return migrants arriving on British shores back to the bloc.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak told reporters in March he was hopeful a deal could be struck following an improvement in relations with the EU following the Windsor Framework deal.
“I think now, post the Windsor Framework being agreed, my hope is that that opens up other areas of constructive engagement and dialogue and cooperation with the EU,” he said ahead of a trip to Paris for a bilateral summit with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Britain has long been calling for a returns deal with France, but the country has always insisted it is a matter for the EU as it is part of the bloc’s free-movement zone.

A deal usually means A gives B something B wants in order to secure from B what A wants. What do you suggest the UK should give to France in order for them to accept taking on responsibility for our failed asylum seekers?

When I stroll around places like Salisbury (for example) I see an increasing number of "Turkish" barbers, they are inevitably empty with two or three foreign coves sat around fiddling with mobile telephones.
Now, if I can see that why can't the Police? they could just stick their heads around the door and ask to see passports and NI numbers, and if not forthcoming they could then take them off for a chat.
The sorry truth is that if you are a foreign criminal here illegally no one is interested, unless you are a foreign criminal driving at 21 mph in a city A road, or are parked improperly, or wear a Union Jack Tee shirt, ( in which case you will have your bank account closed).
This country is what I expected if Corbyn had won the last election, the Tories won it with an 80 seat majority and just look at what it has become in the past five years. It makes no difference at all who we vote for, our country will be turned into leftie woke wasteland in no time at all. When we voted Tory did we really think that the Police, NHS, Civil Service and Border Force would be run by the hard left who would decide exactly how they would carry out their duties in order to comply with Californian edicts issued by the revolutionaries in dark rooms, it is now becoming apparent just how much they are winning.

These places are almost all money laundering fronts - illegal immigration, drugs, prostitution etc. If the police asked a few questions every now and then, they would probably close and release the real estate to an actual business

The authorities still operate as though the UK were still a trust-based society as it was in the 50s despite the influx of many millions who don't hail from such societies and wouldn't know how to function in one.

France has been doing this since the 80's, ferrying migrants across the Channel to Britain. Nothing will change here even though the UK has paid millions upon millions to use UK kit and money to allegedly stem the tide of migrants. The EU as a whole cannot stop migrants coming across the Med and flooding the continent, France are only hellbent on protecting their borders in Italy and on the South Coast. Britain should revoke French fishing licences when it comes up for renewal in a couple of years time. Rishi is a fool if he thought the shoddy Windsor Framework was going to soften the EU's stance towards a reciprocal and cordial relationship.
