If they do withdraw housing for them , I don't think they will. I guess the point being is, the legal challenge is complete bollox built on lawyers sucking the coffers dry, for their own wealth building, they have crossed the Med in many cases and the English channel so they can certainly overcome their fear of water without a problem, while they are said to be coming here for a safe haven, now we shall see who is lying their ass off. There is your safe haven, take it or bugger off. Plus with a new task force being set up to catch said dodgy lawyers they will need to be looking in the mirror very carefully because the said barges might look like heaven compared with where they might end up.

The Channel 4 News poll was done in a partnership between Electoral Calculus and a Polling Organisation
Channel 4 News is produced by ITN News
All polls produced by all polling organisations show a similar fate waiting for the Conservatives, but as per usual the same old suspects accuse the media OR the polling organisation as been either wrong, bent or biased, its all rather monotonous really.
LATEST ELECTORAL CALCULUS PREDICTION Based on 17,000 interviews between 16th June & 28th July
Probability of possible outcomes
Labour majority 96% Lab minority 4%
Probability of being the largest party
Labour 99% Conservative 1%

How the feck can this be compared to Alcatraz Migrant barge like Alcatraz say asylum seekers told by Tory to 'f*** off back to France' An asylum seeker has compared the 1970s-built, 10,659-ton Bibby Stockholm, moored on the Isle of Portland, to the notorious American jail on an island offshore from San Francisco www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/migrant-barge-like-alcatraz-say-30661134

Exactly, so they should be in awe of how wonderful the barge is, compared to what they have 'allegedly' had to flee their country.

As an aside, Diane Abbott, who it must be remembered was a former Labour front bench shadow minister, has posted this rather strange tweet on the news that 40 illegal migrants have drowned off the coast of Italy.

Well here's a couple of reasons migrants can't go on them .. 1. It's not safe, it could have the Grenfell Tower fire hazards. 2. quote from migrant 'I can't go on it, I'm still traumatised with crossing of the channel in the Dinghy, every time I see water I have panic attacks and PTSD. And many more reasons they can't go on it, they are quite happy in their 4* hotels, on full board. On the fire safety, I don't know how they got it passed. The corridors are nowhere near wide enough to meet modern evacuation standards with two people per room. If we put that setup in our places they'd shut us down in a second.

£9 per week - shocking luxury Dan. Surely they could get by on £8.50..... The package as a whole must look very appealing if you're currently living in cardboard box somewhere on the Channel coast or in a leaky tent under the viaduct at the Gare du Nord, waiting for the French to come through with their promise of temporary accommodation.
The last I read there's a three-four month wait, sometimes as much as a year or more, which would cause your typical High Court judge to blow a gasket at the injustice of it all.
No wonder they can't wait to get in a dinghy for the Promised Land.
Or escaping wars and starvation in Burkina Faso, Central African republic, Democratic republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Sudan.

View AttachmentMaybe she is thinking she can wave her hands and part the waves, swimming in the sea on a calm day in the Med ain't like crossing it in a storm. Probably best if she gets on a plane and stands on the beaches of departure and tells them people are going to die and the people traffickers don't give a shit. While the land of milk and honey doesn't actually exist.

Funnily enough I was saying to The Bloke only last night that the first thing the asylum seekers will do is set fire to it. Probably on the advice of their tax payer funded lefty lawyers. Just curious Red. Would you be happy if all the people residing on the fire trap barge burned to death?

That may be the case but why is it largely young men escaping these wars and starvation. Woman, children and the elderly are much less able to cope with the privations you mention yet are left to fend for themselves by the very people best equipped and morally responsible for their protection.

Because they can. Fact is there are a number of wars in Africa at the moment and even more extreme terrorist groups. See we're still running the same old rubbish about being safe in France etc. I think its comic how many times folks have had the law explained.

There were a couple of barges at Canary Wharf that housed offices and they were open plan. They were a smaller scale (about quarter the size on two stories) but could have several hundred people on board on occasions as well as all sorts of loose fittings and cables. To my recall there were only two narrow gangplanks to shore. No one seemed concerned as regards fire safety but then most of us were just ordinary Brits.
