If you are going to quote someone's words you should quote the whole thing to specify the context in which it was said. The only relevant part was what I took from it, whilst knowing you will continue to repeat yourself like a robot.

i have no interest in throwing insults at these people. If you wish to, that is your right. You're not going to scream abuse at the ordinary people who are against seeing their areas used as a dumping ground? You must be the odd one out.

If they enter a second safe country without that consent, they are committing a crime. Which law are you referring to? The usual laws that handle illegal entry into a country. These laws are only suspended for movement across the border of an unsafe country.

I know what your understanding is, I'm asking which law you are referring too. You mean which laws? Every country has has laws which provide the government with governance over entry to the territory. It's more or less what a nation is. If you understand what i am saying then you understand that the law exists.

Blimey Orac. Are you still arguing about the law as it is.
Read Article 31 of the convention and try to understand what it says.

Blimey Orac. Are you still arguing about the law as it is. Read Article 31 of the convention and try to understand what it says. Dappy, this is a very unworthy entry. Are you now pretending that nations do not have laws the forbid irregular entry? The convention only deals with specific circumstances - it does not amount to a negation of a signatories' borders

I didn't say it did.
It is the relevant article as it affects people entering a country to claim asylum however.

I didn't say it did. It is the relevant article as it affects people entering a country to claim asylum however. We already covered this earlier. The convention does not give people the general right enter a safe country from another safe country. Doing so without the permission of the destination is a crime

We have covered it before. That's why I was surprised you are still banging on about the law (which doesnt support your case) rather than outlining the changes you would like to see made to the law.
The law is clear.

The law is clear. Like i said, the convention only applies pertinently to a certain case - ie people crossing a border with a dangerous country to escape danger. National law still applies in other circumstances. You are looking in the wrong place. You seem to want to pretend what i'm saying is untrue, until you are actually confronted. The broader issue of why you are so invested in moving a large number of people from France to UK on a fraudulent pretext, remains unanswered.

no the convention applies to people travelling to claim asylum.
Domestic law also covers the matter.
The convention makes clear that claimants cannot be penalised for crossing a border if they are coming directly from a place where their life or freedom is threatened.

The reason the convention makes it clear that the claimant shall not be punished is because the convention recognises that their action in crossing the border was a reasonable action to take in their circumstance.
We seem to be back to rather convolutedly giving desperate people an unpleasant label. Whatever turns you on.....
