The Tories are using the same tactics as they used in the Brexit fiasco and telling us what are 'will' is without bothering to ask us.
"Peers were last night accused of frustrating the will of the people after ripping up laws to end the small boats crisis. Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby led the latest onslaught against the government's plans to deport migrants who arrive in the UK illegally".
It is quite clearly not the will of the 'people' in the Lords they are talking about as they appear to disagree.
It does not matter if you support what the Tories are attempting to do or like me you are against it, it is the effrontery of the Tories to tell us what our 'will' actually is without our express say so.
These are typical tactics that the Tories use to engender anger and hatred amongst certain members of the population to do what they want you do and think what they want you to think.
They call people traitors if they do not agree with their particular ideology which in turn keeps the nutters on board.
The sooner they are out the better.

So your point is ? Only when they are being "racist, xenophobic, transphobic, I've never heard of fatphobe? Did you miss my point, I pointed it out. The Tories are telling you and me what are 'will' is, I also said it has nothing to do with whether you agree with their tactics. How can they know our 'will' without asking us?

Lefties always attribute a ‘ phobia’ to people who disagree with them . The Tories are correct. The test would be when people are asked if they would like a migrant centre built next door .

When you talk about the 'will of the people' you encompass the entirety of the people. The Tories are just giving their view of a possible minority in this country. Electing a government is 'the will of the people' not a particular policy unless there is a referendum on it.

There is never going to be a 100% consensus with the public , so the definition of ‘ will of the people ‘ that you are imposing is meaningless. People who claim that there should be uncontrolled immigration are ok with it until they feel the negative effects of it . The majority of people in this country would be opposed to a migrant centre next door to them and all the negative effects that go with it . With that in mind , the majority of people are against it .

Easy test for the will of the people is to build migrant centres only in Labour constituencies.
Then you will see what the will of the people is..

Nobody has claimed there should be uncontrolled Immigration that is a lie spread by the Tories. The necessity for immigration centres is exacerbated by the Tory inaction on processing claims.

The will of the people is that each individual should not experience the negative effects of uncontrollable immigration . The necessity for migrant centres is due to illegal immigration.

Peers are not there by the will of the people that’s for sure, and elections don’t reflect the will of the people certainly not fptp. The referendum was the will of the majority but you have moaned about it non stop and all the democrats? in the commons HoL and civil service have done their best to sabotage it.

The Tories are using the same tactics as they used in the Brexit fiasco... yada yada Honestly, it's laughable. It's been seven years since the referendum and left wing remainiacs are still crying about it. God it's boring.

It is the use of the phrase that is objectionable and inflammatory. The Tories somehow think that everyone agrees with them and that the Lords are 'in a way' traitors.

I have always accepted the 'will of the people' regrading Brexit, although reluctantly, but that will was decided by a referendum the Tories are bypassing a referendum to claim 'the will of the people' in this case.
