Scotland is not a sovereign nation. I have never said that , and once again pacifico , you are making things up.
The scottish people under scottish constitutional law are sovereign , and in your nation , your parliament is sovereign. So there is a subtle difference. The scottish people have the power to decide to leave , but your parliament keeps trying to block off the routes to independence.
The people are the nation - so if you need to ask someone elses permission to do something you are most certainly not sovereign..  Sure but you miss the point of scots constitutional law banging heads with english. The referendum route appears to be off limits , so we sovereign scots are now going down the election route as espoused by maggie .
Meanwhile , the anti demcoratic uk parliament says no to orkney.

As for Scotland it wants to stay in the UK.

If the people of Orkney are not happy with the way they are being treated by the UK and Scottish governments maybe they'd be interested in their islands being used to house the "Boat people"? The accommodation could be built to the highest of standards so that once this illegal immigrant problem is resolved the facilities could be handed over to the local population.

Why should the orkney islanders deal with englands migration problem....a problem of both labour and conservatives making? Why doesnt the westmisnter government do the basic thing every government across the world is elected to do and control its borders instead of passing the buck to anyone and everyone else?
Do what you used to do with your convicts , and deport them abroad , instead of oz.....you could say pick a bwitish overseas territory like the falklands , boost the local population , give them guns to stop the argies , that sort of thing.

Free meals, healthcare, cycling tours and guided walks along the Dorset coast.. Sounds like a package holiday for the over 60’s?
