Labour have now u-turned on: 🇪🇺 Brexit 🎓 Tuition Fees 🏠 Rent Controls 🗳️ Electoral reform 🍎 Free School Meals 💷 Public Sector Pay 📢 @mhairiblack : "Under Keir Starmer, the sad reality is, it’s hard to distinguish Labour from the Tories." Well of course. As I said above, if Labour get into power they will have no more resources to do anything than the Tories currently do. The best case scenario is that nothing much will change. The worst case is that they will attempt change and cock it up. Given their history, I'd suggest option B is more likely. Labour says its plan to strip private schools of their charitable status would be used to fund payments to stop teachers leaving the profession, but Tories point out the proposed £1.7 billion has already been allocated to pay for more teachers and staff
Smarmer vowed to strip private schools of status meaning VAT would apply to fees Tories pointed out proposed gains already allocated to pay for 6,500 teachers

The Tories have screwed our economy and what was possible a few short years ago is going to be very difficult now. you agree you are not happy with the direction new labour under starmer are taking , bt then you say their excuses for tossing aside progressive pledges sound sensible.?
You are easily pleased.
I can assure you 110 % i will be voting against labour as normal with every fibre of my being such is my disgust and dislike of that party. Your best hope is apathy across the uk and an extremely low turnout while getting your own cult members out to vote.
It's not that I am easily pleased but I recognise that damage done to this country by the Tories over the last 13 years and they still have a year plus to go. It is foolhardy for anyone to believe that Labour can fix the problems we have the minute they come into power and my view is that we have to see and feel progress is being made. Given the debacle we have all witnessed over the time the Tories have been in power I struggle to see what labour have done to engage such wrath.

Yet nore of smarmers string pullers and lefts hypocrisy.. RMT union leaders are branded 'hypocritical' as they try to slash jobs and pay among their own staff Union faces revolt from catering and office staff at its National Education Centre RMT union leaders were branded 'hypocritical' yesterday for trying to slash jobs and pay among their own workers. The Daily Mail can reveal the strike-backing rail union is facing a revolt from catering and office staff at its National Education Centre in Doncaster. The row is over proposed job cuts and reducing allowances, such as for travel to work, which means some staff face a real-terms pay cut. Secretary-general Mick Lynch (pictured) has repeatedly accused industry bosses and ministers
of wanting 'to rip up our members' conditions in order to save money'
Affected staff, represented by the GMB union, are threatening to go on strike. In extraordinary comments showing how bitter the union vs union spat is, the GMB last night said: 'Members working at RMT are standing up for their rights.'
It's been resolved. 🤣

Then stop cheerleading in ignorance. Who's cheerleading. It's not ignorance to know that the Tories are bad for this country. No, that's an unevidenced opinion hence ignorant cheerleading.

Who's cheerleading. It's not ignorance to know that the Tories are bad for this country. No, that's an unevidenced opinion hence ignorant cheerleading. Can anyone claim that the country is better off now, under the current Tory bunch, which has been led by a motley selection of five prime ministers since 2010 (three within the last year alone)?
If they can, that would be an opinion lacking credible evidence.
Sunak has a difficult job to persuade voters that the Conservatives have moved away from the fiascos they're noted for, and will provide safe and reliable management for the country.
Perhaps the electorate will prefer a fresh face...

LOL!! 🤣 The last 50 years has proved you wrong. Show me. Fact check. "It’s fair to say that GDP was generally better under Labour, but only up until the financial crisis. Of course, the crisis was a global phenomenon that would have hit Britain no matter which party was in government".

What, like COVID and Ukraine?
To which Starmers response was "Even more of the same".
