The opinion polls again....LOL have you asked ALL the general public? A general election would do that, but the Tories are running scared.Only in your head they are. Funny how you lefties haven't mentioned the latest poll that suggests that Sunak is more trusted with the economy than starmer isn't it? But of course we are all used to the double standards of the left.

Why will it "Rattle the lefties cage"? A Tory PM doing what Labour tells it to is a good thing. If the Tories come up with an idea of their own it won't worry the left, but it will surprise them. RR, tbh the windfall tax is all Starmer has, if Sunak takes it from him what on earth is he going to criticise the nasty Tories for? And your initials are uncomfortably similar to mine, because I'm better looking you should change yours. In fact, there's something in the small print to that effect. So you agree, from now on you will be known as Dobbin Yep. So long as they keep doing as they're told the lefties are happy

So you agree that lower taxation attracts inward investment. All good, sound Conservative politics.
By the way, I shall be getting a bumper dividend from Shell next time. That's the trickle down effect in action.
I'm rather fancying a new motorcycle.
Until your neighbours put up their tariffs.

Wasting tax payers money. Braverman. Johnson. Foodbanks. Levelling up. Strikes. Immigration. Foreign policy. Crime. Mental health. The NHS. Care homes. Criminality in office. Lack of scrutiny. Security risks. U turns. Double U turns. Interest rates. Sky high prices. Refusal to answer urgent questions. Lying to the British people. The list goes on.

It's a sight harder to come up with solutions and policies that work.

Most of it reeks with hypocrisy, which is something we, as a people, should be moving away from.

I was answering another question. I was not actually criticising the Tories I was point out what else Starmer could. Nothing more, nothing less.

The windfall tax was actually first proposed by the LibDems, and then Labour stole it, and then the Tories stole it and repackaged it.
While the Tories have a point that getting them to invest (decommissioning, exploration, extraction, research etc) might be a good thing, it is too easy a win for Labour, who can keep trotting out their bullshit £180b figure to everybody uneducated enough to believe it.
Who can blame Labour for their lies. After all, there are still plenty of dumb fuckers that believe "£37b was wasted on test and trace". If you allow the other side to control the narrative, it can be fatal.

It makes no difference if the money spent was 37billion or half that the point is that the 37bn budget was wasted by NHS England. An eye watering wast of money it was 20% of the whole NHS ENGLAND Budget for the year I dont recall anyone mainstream saying that we should not test for Covid at the time. Personally I might agree that all that testing was pointless, but I fully accept I would be in a minority.
