No they dont - they settle. There is absolutely no way that NatWest are going to have senior managers testifying under oath when the ex-CEO has already admitted wrongdoing and apologised. Even NatWest are not daft enough to want to fight this case in open court. Farage has them over a barrel, they'll be damned if they do and damned if they don't, we don't even know if this is just the tip of the iceberg, there could be more to come. The reaction by the rest of the bank highlights the fact that they're disappointed with this dragon woman over her blonde moment. It's the part about being exposed that they dislike, so yes, this is definately the tip of the iceberg.

Doesn't that mean that there aren't any current laws making it illegal? So what's the point? What will be achieved for these supposed victims the manfrog is going to gather together?

In a shit in your hands and clap kind of way? You might consider that fun, but it's infinitely funnier for the rest of us watching you covering yourself in crap.🤣

Dunno but watching the left trying to turn it into an anti-Farage rant says a great deal, it certainly isn't big or clever. It's fun though. I can't wait till the court case. ''The bank only closed my account because so many people think I'm a racist xenophobe and they don't want to be associated with my political opinions''. Monte. I know what you are saying , but as ive tried to debate with my mate zany . This isnt about farage , and your personal dislike of him and his politics.
This is about freedom of speech and the ability to hold views , while going about your daily business in society without being "debanked/cancelled" for holding those views.
Its a helluva hill for anglo remainers and many on the left to die on. Predictably , despite all the sneering about farage , he has come out of it looking like the martyr , and stronger , while brexiters , many on the right , and i would argue society in general have got right behind him.
Meanwhile those who hate farage have ended up with egg on their faces. You only need to read zanys comments in this thread..........where he went from trying miserably to justify farages cancellation with all sorts of puerile ( and untrue) reasons , to being reduced to banal empty one liners in a game of last wordism.
I would let it go mate. Its unwinnable. Yet another episode of unjustifiable anti democracy in action , a bit like the events immediately post the brexit ref where similar puerile excuses were being made for the lack of implementation of the brexit ref result.
Farage could be the biggest racist xenophobe on the planet .It still doesnt justify his cancellation. This isnt supposed to be north korea mate.

And it certainly isn't the bank's place to make those judgements outside of any legal or democratic process.
As you say, this ain't North Korea.

We see the same sneering from labour and many on the left regarding farage as we did when it turned out their red wall voters in england voted for brexit. No attempt to rationally understand , just sneering and put downs .
You can see why labour and their dim witted supporters lose elections two thirds of the time in modern electoral history.
SRB steve tells me its because of the pro tory media. ( But doesnt apply in scotland of course lol) who needs a pro tory media to win elections when labour do such a grand job of losing them on their own?
Anti democracy is never a good look. Never have i know a group of people to so consistently back the wrong horse .
Whatever the popualist view of the general public in scotland or england , you can be sure the labour party and friends will be on the opposite side of it.

Dame Alison Rose is about to become the most hated figure in the British banking sector. For years they have done exactly what they wanted without question and now she has opened up the whole can of worms to public view... All done under EU law. Time to repeal idiotic EU laws that were thrusted onto the people for big businesses to exploit.

lolz...
The left narrative evolution on Farage debanking has been amazing to watch:
From
- "This isn't political! Just banks following banking regulations"
To
- "LOL, Farage is too poor"
To
- "OK, it was political but it's fine because Farage is evil"
To..
"Yes, they shouldn't have lied about him to the BBC..."
To
- "The bank CEO who briefed lies to the media has now resigned. This is outrageous government interference in private business!!! The CEO is the real victim!"
Looking forward to the next pivot...

To be honest if someone had told me the banks were operating in some secret internal plot to cancel out people of certain politics, I'd have dismissed them as conspiracy nut jobs, I would never have believed our banks were operating as their own judge and jury.
The government should now set up a special task force to see how deep this goes, I now believe it goes beyond the banking industry, it could be effecting the outcome of people of certain politics being denied access to mortgages, financial products like personal loans or business loans, we need to know just how far this rot has set in.

I think Monte, Darling & Zany made some of those pivots.

And trying to get it all denounced as a conspiracy, I think not this time, they have worn that one out.

She only resigned because if she was fired she would have lost her £5 million bumper pay off, if the bank had fired her for gross misconduct she would have had to fight in court for that pay off, let's face it it's nothing short of paying her hush money.

I think Monte, Darling & Zany made some of those pivots. They must be dizzy by now!🤣 Zany is confident enough to say he is wrong when facts appear. Though in this case Zany never said it was not political, all he said was we don't know and this is what the bank is saying. Zany's slant on this was that thousands of poor people lose their bank accounts every year and no one gives a flying f**k.
