No because poor socialists don't make the news. Reasons behind being unbanked In 2020, The FCA financial life survey report found that a significant number of people from a BAME background (4%) are unbanked, compared to people from a white UK background (2%). When broken down between minority ethnic groups, the report found that the unbanked rates were highest in those from an Asian background (6%) and mixed heritage consumers (5%). All those Poor Asian BAME people who held right wing views and voted Brexit. Lol. I see, so in answer to my question your answer is, no. Three members of Farages family have also had their bank accounts closed. A few days ago an Anglican vicar had his bank account closed because he criticised gender ideology. link
Do you even understand how dangerous a cashless society would be? Can you imagine how powerful banks would be if no one had cash. Lefties who think it's funny that Farage is being treated like this are thick. Just because the poor don't get a shout on GB news doesn't mean they aren't unbanked. How could you even think that way when 24,000 people get unbanked every year. Farage had his account closed because he didn't have enough in his account to have that service. It already happens to them, TWENTYFOUR THOUSAND OF THEM EVERY PILLOCKING YEAR. And yes its awful not having a bank account, everything costs more. I have young 5 staff you have no bank accounts and we have to pay their wages into friends accounts. So I'm glad Nigel has highlighted a situation you wouldn't normally give a flying fig about.

Here you go. www.money.co.uk/guides/unbanked-what-its-like-not-to-have-a-bank-account#:~:text=In%202020%2C%20The%20FCA%20financial,white%20UK%20background%20(2%25). This sort of stuff make your blood boil? The reason that a higher percentage of people from BAME backgrounds are unbanked, is because BAME consumers tend to be younger and have lower incomes and so are over represented in the unbanked group. Some of the reasons people are unbanked include having a poor credit history and bank accounts being withdrawn. In other cases, many people don’t earn enough so even the cost of having a bank account is prohibitive. People might lose trust in financial institutions based on previous experiences, and in many cases people can’t provide the required ID or proof of address documents to open an account. One such case is Tom, a 23-year-old water engineering trainee. Tom had been banking with the same provider since he was a teenager, but his bank account was withdrawn after he reported a number of fraudulent transactions.
At first the bank refunded the money from the fraudulent transactions. But within a few months the bank decided to hold him responsible for those transactions, and subsequently took back the refunds and closed his bank account.

I am aware that people for various reasons don't have or cant get a bank account, in this instance that is not what we are talking about. We are talking about people who for many years many decades in some cases have been loyal customers to a particular bank and the bank suddenly and for no reason closes their account. You claim Farage had his account closed because he had insufficient funds, and Coutts bank did indeed cite a lack of funds, even though Farage has an estimated wealth of £4 million. But the BBC (Of all organisations) have this very afternoon said dozens of Coutts customers have contacted the BBC and said they have insufficient funds but the bank has not closed their accounts. Also, it has been established that Farages bank, Coutts, has discussed Farages finances with the press and other organisations without Farage knowing anything about it. A financial 'expert' on GB News said Coutts actions are extremely unprofessional and may be illegal. I suspect Coutts will regret attempting to cancel Farage.

If its found that Farage lost his account for political beliefs, then that is pretty bad. It will be interesting to see if democracy wins through again.

I don't believe the Coutts statement I think they wanted him gone for political reasons and have now come up with a reason they could have discussed with him just to cover their backsides.
The Mail today said this has reached the politicians who are pondering state action and I read yesterday this type of issue is impacting others for example a viscounts wife was refused an account as her husband was seen as a PEP.
The Banks need to get their act together quickly, IMO.

The Banks need to get their act together quickly, IMO. This is how it's said to have played out (by admittedly anti-Farage sources): Coutts told Farage that they were closing his premium millionaires' account because his funds had fallen below the required amount to maintain such an account. The reason was clearly explained to Farage.
Farage then went public and said that his account was closed and that he was not told the reason. He filled the gap in his version of events with an invented reason (political reasons). Coutts offered Farage an ordinary pleb's account after Farage kicked up a stink, but that doesn't change the fact that, contrary to what he claimed, he was told the reason why his account was being closed BEFORE he went public, saying he had been given no reason.
