Has anyone else noticed that lefties on the forum cant see the big picture. See2, Brave New World is a dystopian novel, not an instruction manual. FFS you lot (lefties) are dangerous. Indeed. As Orwell said: "So much of left-wing thought is a kind of playing with fire by people who don't even know that fire is hot."
See it right here on this very thread.

To the remainer the end justifies the means. Same with the totalitarian left, to which many of the same people appear to belong (and indeed are outing themselves on this very thread). They never learn. Believeing in their own moral crusade of overturning democracy between 2016 and 2019 , they were so self righteous that they couldnt see they didnt have the uk behind them until reality slapped them in the face in the GE2019.
Now here , belieiving everyone hates farage and is uniting behind them in laughing at the head brexiters ill treatment , they make the mistake of thinking people find this amusing and deserved. This sort of thing appalls any right thinking civilised human being.
I have never in my life seen a group of people so unable to read a room as some of the brit left / so called centrists on this thread.

I don't care about that so much as I do about a group of eejits apparently so willing to walk the rest of us into 1984 because thus far they're happy with who the victims are.
(Although, for the sake of disclosure, I see SNP supporters in exactly the same light).

GB News have just read out a list of people and organisations who have recently, over the past couple of years, had their bank accounts cancelled, and they are all considered to be politically right of centre and/or have non conforming views such as saying a woman cannot have a penis. There's something quite sinister going on here and if lefties are happy with it, then we are entering dangerous times.

The reasons given are given without one iota of proof that the reasons are true. They could well be nothing more than excuses thought up for them to hide behind. Banks are businesses, IMO they will do nothing to hinder or harm their business. I have no doubt the truth will come out at some time and if it shows that Farage is a bad bet for a Bank there will be a lot of people with egg on their face. Not just Farage is it? No, so lets wait and see why its happening, not just take notice of the whinging extrapolating minority who seek just about any possible event that will allow them to pour out their bile.

From the link: Contact the bank. Call the number on the back of your debit card or find the bank's contact number online to request information on why the account was canceled. I'd rather drive 15 miles to my nearest branch than try to interpret Gujerati from thousands of miles away, no mistakes and takes less time. Why do you think banks etc., like these call centres?

Perhaps thats for the scottish threads , but im not sure i see the point you are making regarding the snp ? Some of the snp twitler youth certainly fit what you are saying , but with them , its mainly those who arent fully aboard the trans cult within the party .
ive loaned the snp my vote , and clearly im far from happy in this thread about walking the uk into 1984 because i am happy with who the victim is. Im unreservedly supporting farage in this , and i pointed out i said the same about clowns like nick griffin and the bnp many years ago in that while i might not agree with what they say , i support their right to say it.
As i said up the thread ,sometimes some folk can see the bigger picture , while others cant see past their bitterness and the much smaller single issue they are obsessed with.
Cancelling people because of their political views isnt on . We seem to be hurtling along at warp speed to a bad place .

You’re in a difficult position, Tommy. Brexit has given the Scottish independence movement a new impetus. Brexit was a Scottish nationalist’s dream come true. The farther away from the EU the UK moves, the stronger the Scottish Nationalist position becomes. Starmer is a bit of a fly in the ointment. As you have said yourself, he wants to substitute Brexit for Brino. That’s not good for you. There’s a chance that the Scots who wanted independence because of the EU issue will be appeased, and your dream will fade. There’s nothing anyone can do about that, Tommy. Eh?
The straw clutching is that bad now , you are reduced down to blaming the nasty jocks for brexit ? Did i miss the snp walking around england holding a gun to the english heads to vote brexit? If you think scottish nationalism is centred around the issue that appears to drive you nuts most days on this forum ....brexit , ......you are even more deluded than even i thought darling.
How then is that not reflected in polls? using your feeble logic for a wee minute darling , when brexit happened support should have went through the roof for scot indy and rose even further as the uk moved away from the EU. Its been three and a half years darling since the uk offically left. What we have seen is a gradual rise in support for scot indy , totally unrelated to brexit , and more in line with the older unionist dying out and the younger nationalists coming onto the voting role.
On top of that , while scotland is undoubtedly pro european and always has been , we managed to get 45 % of scottish indy supporter to support yes no matter wether we were thrown out the eu for leaving a then current member state or not.
While brexit is undoubtedly one of many issues that fans scottish indy , im afraid its not the all consuming passion you think it is for most scots.
why not? Is this you delving back into darlings alternative universe , where taking away farages bank account solves brexit , and forcing BRINO does the same with scot indy? Im afraid we arent all as shallow as you mate. Bitterness tends to cloud the mind as we can see from reading your posts.
theres many scots who wanted independence who didnt want the EU darling. Albas main policy on europe is membership of EFTA , not joining the EU immediately. The EU for many scots is a side issue .
isnt life simplistic for the naive darling? Get keir in , who will of course give darling the BRINO he so desperately craves , and all those other wee problems will disappear over night. I mean until the eu issue , in your simple world , no jocks ever wanted to leave the uk did they?
You couldnt ever have heard of those first 120 years of union , where there were armed uprising and rebellion against the uk in scotland , or the centuries of independence movements , or what about the formation of the snp in the thirties? Cunninghame graham was a visionary indeed in seeing the need to set up and merge scottish indy parties to stop brexit some 82 years prior to the vote and unpredicted outcome.
Home rule bills? pah! Lord seafields first scottish home rule bill in 1714 was done purely after his crystal ball gazing predicted brexit and darlings never ending tantrums centuries in the future.
I know your fragile ego cant possibly think that brexit isnt the centre of everyones universe darling , but sometimes you have to accept reality mate that you might just possibly be out on a limb on your own.
Wow! You put a lot of effort into that Tommy. Cheers. I only read the first couple of lines. If you have something important to say, and you want to be sure I read it, make a point of including it in your first or second line. I love you, Tommy, but I'm not in love with you. A post that long is just too much effort. Anyway, here's some food for thought: The Scottish Nationalist movement needs the hardest Brexit possible for the longest time possible. You will have been delighted when Boris got in in 2019. Nothing would make you happier than Rees Mogg as the next prime minister. Brino will kill the Scottish Nationalists’ dream. That’s what lies behind your righteous indignation towards Remainders, Tommy. I doubt anybody thinks otherwise.

Of course not entirely unexpected, because I thankfully have the ability to reason, while all you offer is your ability to insinuate that the sky is about to fall in.

What is there to wait for,I’m not religious in the slightest but see no good reason why a vicar cannot challenge a financial institution’s stance without their account being closed.

I dealt with this earlier in my post. Could you post factual evidence , links whatever that shows scottish independance supporters are desperate for a hard brexit and for that hard brexit to last as long as possible?
I know you think we scots have immense power of thought control over the english , but really mate , rather than sneering at a mere 5.5 million of the uks 68 million population and blaming us for brexit , surely you need to concentrate your fire on the millions in england and wales who got the leave vote through?
We supported you darling , did our bit for remain , and you blew it in your own country mate. No good crying to me now that this is all some ingenious plot by indy supporters to muck up the uk and take scotland out?
