NatWest didn't debank Manfrog they downgraded him. He debanked himself when he turned down the standard non-millionaire's club account that all of us plebs are reduced to using. Incorrect. 40 page document. It had nothing to do with the amount of money in his account. Other banks wouldn't give him a business account. Only after he complained, was he offered a personal account, not a business account. Your argument is based on out of date information. The release of new information which contradicts the original statement, has resulted in Alison Rose resigning. Still not debanked. |

Now, let's recap for the hard of thinking.
Nigel was debanked.
He complained.
NatWest offered him a basic personal account only, by way of damage limitation, having also cancelled his business accounts.
Now, in simple terms for Monte, that's equivalent to your bank allowing you to keep your account but refusing to cash your paychecks IE it's effectively useless and effectively debanking.
And, it has been admitted that it was done for non-banking reasons.
Coutts were wrong. They've admitted they were wrong. Staff have resigned over that wrongdoing. NatWests share price has plummeted. The whole banking sector will now be subject to greater regulation to prevent this from happening again.
There, I think that about covers it.

He's still not getting a table at Chez Monte's and if he wants to refuse a burger at McMonte's down the road that's up to him. There's no law that says I have to let him into my fancy restaurant especially if he's going to shit on the carpet and upset my other customers.
