Maybe, or perhaps, if the Tories had not cut police officers by over 20,000 then crime might not be such a bigger problem than it is - just a thought.

What exactly do numbers have to do with the fact that the police are not doing what the taxpayers employ them for or the govenment deem as laws? I agree that their numbers have deminshed but its not just down to the tories.. Poor old abacus thought she could get 20K more police officers on the beat by paying them 30 quid each per week.

Diane Abbott has never been Home Secretary, so is not responsible for the cut in numbers. You knew that.

She made the usual prick of herself on LBC when she stated that's what labour would do and the host who had a working brain did the sums for her as she stated that is what labour would spend on putting more plod on the streets. But of course you knew that didn't you hash.

This bit:
"but its not just down to the tories.. Poor old abacus thought she could get 20K more police officers on the beat by paying them 30 quid each per week."
Or did you not mean to link those two sentences together? 🤔

Police numbers were cut because they fiddled the figures so massively that it appeared crime had gone down. Actually what had happened was that the police had stopped recording it - or doing anything about it either. The problem is that most police simply don't do their job anymore.

But then as for my senteneces I wont be preached too by a remenant who could find ambiquity in a simple binary choice.

The left should keep their gobs shut they were the ones who tied Plods hands together under the mountains of paperwork they introduced.

The left should keep their gobs shut they were the ones who tied Plods hands together under the mountains of paperwork they introduced. The biggest increase in "paperwork" was brought about by the Police and Criminal Evidence Act. A vital piece of legislation that's made convictions safer, and protects the public. Long overdue when it was finally enacted.. ..under Thatcher.

I wonder how much money blairs wife accrued with the HR BS?

Thatchers idea gave the victims rights but labour had other ideas about that. I wonder how much money blairs wife accrued with the HR BS? The PCEA (Sergeant Eldest Son is something of an expert - it informs just about everything he does) isn't about "victim rights" so much as giving suspects and arrested people fair treatment, and ensuring a full paper trail regarding any subsequent investigation. And yes - Mrs Blair is a very successful KC and human rights lawyer. I assume you're one of those who think "Human Rights" is just an annoyance we should bin? (Until mum goes into a nursing home, or you find yourself arrested or in court, or the local authority aren't treating you fairly.. People have no idea of the impact the various Human Rights Acts have on EVERYONE'S lives, and the freedoms they protect.)

How many have lost their own livelyhood, friends and families by using their rights to free speech?
