If the Asylum Bill does not get through Parliament and the Rwanda scheme fails to get off the ground then the cost of housing asylum seekers projected to reach £11 Billion a year. But that is not the worst of it - as Labour are expected to win next years election and they have already said they will not implement the Rwanda scheme and increase the numbers of Asylum seekers the bill will go even higher... So why don't the government want to get a move on to sort the claims quicker, that seems the obvious way to reduce costs. It's almost as though they are not doing that deliberately as a dead cat to distract from other issues. The replies on this thread indicate the success with a certain demographic. How do you propose sorting the claims faster given that around 95% of them dispose of their ID documents?. This is what makes me chuckle when you hear Labour Politicians pledging to bring down the backlog - they never say how. I suspect that knowing Labour it will be some kind of mass amnesty and that will make the UK even more of a desired destination for illegal migrants with numbers rising astronomically.

We cannot house many of the indigenous people as it is, let alone house thousands of alleged Asylum seekers every year, its not possible unaffordable, in some places in the UK English is fast becoming the second language That is, of course, a different problem and down to the government of the day. If you lived in the real world you would know that many people are getting very angry with the amount of people entering the UK mainly England day in day out unlawfully which includes Organised Criminal Gangs from Albania to sell drugs to the not very bright, slaves to work in Brothels to pay for their boat trip terrorists maybe among them, many people cannot find affordable homes to rent or even buy, every bit of our infrastructure is creaking at the seams it will break eventually. Labour under Blair the warmonger actually encouraged more unskilled economic migrants mainly from Asia to come, which has changed England forever, Freedom of movement thanks to being in the EU saw more arriving our culture and way of life will never be the same, Labour if they win may well take us back into the EU, if that happens that will only fuel the anger. It is a serious problem that no Government has got to grips with over the years, every time the present Governments tries to resolve the issue , the opposition Labour and the Liberal Elite vote against it, this problem will only get worse not just for the Government of the day but the entire population, and if they get angry enough they make take to the streets in large numbers, I hope that never happens but it might

Year Arrivals (% change from prior year) 2018, 299 2019, 1,843(+516.4%) 2020, 8,466(+359.3%) 2021, 28,526(+236.9%) 2022, 45,755(+60.4%) 2023, 10,518(As of 20 June 2023[3]) Wikipedia I think the figure speak for themselves.

It appears that English is not your first language, I pointed out a fact the Blair and Labour deliberately encouraged unskilled migrants to come to England, another fact the Left Wing Mayor when on his tour of India and Pakistan more recently did the same , he shouted London is open , what he did not think about was WTF was he going to house them
As for figures on immigration , Migration Watch keeps better up to date more accurate figures than anyone including the Government, last year 2022 over 600,000 migrants entered the UK, enough people to populate a City the size of Manchester

Here is what the former Prime Minister of Australia had to say about France and Macron.
France's lack of action in stopping illegal migrants crossing the English Channel constitutes “an unfriendly act”, according to the former prime minister of Australia Tony Abbott.
He told GB News: ”The British parliament is sovereign and I can't understand why the British Parliament hasn't passed a law removing the jurisdiction of this European tribunal over British policy.
“In Australia, we turned the boats around because in the end, if people can get here, they will be tempted to come here.
“I appreciate that France is a different country to Indonesia, and we were turning boats around back to Java.
"But to be honest, it's frankly an unfriendly act on the part of the French, not to police these camps better not to stamp out the people smuggling gangs better.
In a discussion with Camilla Tominey, he said: “If the French aren't prepared to do their job, if the French are prepared to at least part facilitate what at a sufficiently large scale starts to become a peaceful invasion, I think Britain must be prepared to say, ‘well, they're coming from France, they have no right to come from France.’
"The way is shut, we send them back.”
Asked about the Government’s policy on deportations: “I think they're on the right track.
"All credit to the British Government for getting this deal with Rwanda.
“But it's not much of a deal if you can actually get the people to take off and land in Rwanda.
“The British parliament is sovereign and I can't understand why the British Parliament has passed as hasn't passed a law removing the jurisdiction of this European tribunal over British policy.”
He added: “I think that there is a way forward.
"I think we need leaders with conviction and courage.
"We need to actually believe in our beliefs as opposed to paying them lip service.”
I agree with him 100%

It would be to late for them to act if they were got gone immediately.

Who's running the country, we've got a government who can't stop illegal migrants, they can't stop energy companies hiking their prices, they can't stop the BoE of putting interest rates up 13 times in a row, they can't stop food price rises, they can't stop schools promoting pupils to be freaks, like identifying as cats and all other bizarre things.... What exactly is it that they can do?

How we are going to house, even our own people, again is down to the Tories not setting out a coherent plan to encourage house building. Blaming Labour for all our ills is a joke and a typical Tory tactic.

They can't stop immigration because they got rib of the people that used to process them, They cannot stop energy companies putting up their prices because they love profit before all else, They can't stop the BoE putting up interest rates because they are independent of the government, cats and dogs should have rights to you know.

Which bit of Labour vote against legislation proposed by the Government to deal with Unlawful Migrants do you not understand, which causes delays , which gives more time for others to arrive here unlawfully

The Tory government have a majority, Labour can't stop anything going through the Commons. Who it just so happens it has become a favourite to call them lawmakers, so the simple answer to the problem, stop fecking doing it and do what they are asked by just about the whole country and put a stop on it, before somebody puts a stop to them. When I say simple it is short for sane.

The Tory government have a majority, Labour can't stop anything going through the Commons. They can have a mega majority it is the lefty swamp that run our country and not our elected MP's hash. Whats the use of having MP's if the swamp ignore them and set their own warpt agenda? How many times does bravman have to state that blocking our hiways is illegal before anything is done about it by those who should enforce her laws?
