Smarmer has hinted he could appoint Tony Blair and Gordon Brown to the House of Lords to help serve a future Labour government.
The leader was criticised this week after senior party figures confirmed plans to pack the Lords so they outnumber the Tories in the upper chamber in the event Labour win at the next general election.
This was despite a promise to abolish the Lords when in government.

Yesterday smarmer said he 'of course' wants to talk to Labour grandees – including the two former prime ministers – about becoming peers.
But a Tory spokesman said: 'Labour's dodgy dealings know no limits. After denying an honours list, Slippery Smarmer is plotting to stuff the Lords full of his cronies, including Tony "open borders" mass murdering prick Blair and Gordon "sold the gold" Brown.

He has backtracked on abolishing the lords, he now says he will elevate dozens of 'young people' to the lords. He is actually admitting before he even gets into office that he will do exactly what he has always said he will not do, he will fill the lords with people who support him. Just as all previous prime ministers have. Starmer is a hypocritical failure before he even gets the keys to number 10.

IMHO the Lords are there to quality control legislation put forward by the Commons, if I remember correctly at least on one occasion when Labour under Blair were in Government because the Lords were not happy with a Bill Labour had put forward they ignored the Lords, and pushed their Bill though using the Parliamentary Privilege Act.
There are at present 775 members of the Lords, Bishops 24, others 5 Conservative 248, Labour 166, Liberal Democrats 83, and Crossbenchers 183 IMHO a relatively even balance, to load it up in favour of one party IMO should not happen.
The Lords change all the time, death, Lords not attending or kicked out , natural wastage etc

Not it didn't but the fact that it will take years even as much as a decade to disband the HOL and find a replacement system with the electoral nightmare that will ensue seems to have been missed by you. Your idea seems to be - 1st day disband the HOLs, 2nd day hold elections for a second chamber, 3rd day get them to work.😂 Whilst the process is happening Starmer will appoint Labour Lords to counter balance the Tory party stuffing the house with Tories. |

This is why Labour have got no policies on anything, because Starmer does that much backtracking he'd be called to task, like he is now, if he were to set out his policies in writing, so he just makes them up as he goes along, according to how the public swing is looking.
How the fuck could anyone vote for a leader who flip-flops about like that, he can't be trusted and that's a fact, he'll sell the UK down the river at the first opportunity, things might not be looking rosey right now, but by fuck if Starmer becomes Prime Minister what glimmer of hope we have now will be completely gone.
