What’s China getting from Argentina ? A foothold in South America perhaps? To be fair it's probably academic, the chances are Starmer will give the Falklands to the Argies anyway.

This, coming from the nation that gave Covid to the world.
This, coming from the nation that doesn't recognise self-governance and self-determination.
This must have been a pre-requisite from the Argies; before they became China's debt-ridden junkie.

Oh boy. I had no bloody idea but i started as you do on wiki and then google and it turns out China has been quietly building relations with latin america since the days of tricky dicky Nixon and is now Argentina’s largest trading partner.
The worrying thing is the last think wiki reports is Liz Truss telling China to back off telling us what to do with the Falklands which naturally means Fishy Rishi would have briefed against her and egged them to carry on stirring it so as to discredit her….
Oh boy.

China has pumped Billions into Argentina and every few years this story resurfaces about Britain handing the Falklands over . Greases the cogs of trade and keeps the Argies looking in the wrong direction . Wont be long before they are talking Mandarin

What’s China getting from Argentina ? Probably nothing. The Chinese are trying to conflate the Falklands with Taiwan as a bit of "whataboutery". A bit like Spain wanting Gib back and we say "whatabout" Ceuta y Melilla

Although the Chinese have stopped short of invasion.
