Eminent lawyer Lord Pannick KC says the privileges committee report has not proved Boris Johnsons guilt and the findings of the committee would be ruled unlawful in a court of law.
Sadly for Sunak, I sense this story has legs.

… says Bojo did nothing wrong ?? Then all Boris' enemies (which seem to include most of the current Parliamentary Conservative Party), will swear holes through pewter pots that it is a cover up

Supposing Johnson is given 90 day suspension and gets his pass withdrawn, will he still get his MP’s pension because he resigned before he was pushed?
I guess he’ll also get protection — though we can suppose he doesn’t use it…

The key words there being, 'supposed to be'. Sunak wants Boris gone and this matter over and done with. I sense he will be disappointed. I have. A shrewd feeling mate Boris will have the last laugh. I earnestly hope he’s had his last laugh. Thumbing his nose at truth and decency while people are dying because of his inept mismanagement, even when chasing a laugh, now appears to be upsetting true blue Tory Tunbridge Wells type party faithfuls, blue rinses and Col Blimps…

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "his inept management", you can use facts rather than smears and innuendo to let us know about this alleged failing on his part.

Five leaders and PMs in 13 years is not a good look. But Johnson is, and has been right here and now. What PMs did before 2010 is hardly relevant to today’s circumstances — most of it has been factored in. The UK currently has rampant inflation, soaring mortgage rates, people not earning enough to feed, clothe and feed their families — and all the Boris backers do is stick their fingers in their ears and claim all is OK because they’ve heard others are doing badly too. Reading the room is pointless — the room gave us Truss and she made things even worse…

Exactly, a bit of cake and a sip of wine You always slightly misinterpret everything, earlier you got confused between him being involved in Partygate and lying to parliament over Partygate, here you've got confused between the birthday party he got the fine for and the Downing Street parties that he lied about.

Really well Having just watched Heseltine and why people elected Boris this is what this was all about and it wasn’t party’s at no 10.

And the goodbye parties. And the gathering in the garden.
The man has been sacked from two jobs already. This makes three. So you can now assume nothing he writes in the Telegraph is true too.
You just cannot expect a genetic liar and exhibitionist to keep his character hidden forever. Unfortunately he lied his way tò the ref result but cant sustain his credibility for much longer.
Optimistically i hope the British people are now more streetwise and less gullible. From what i read and hear, they are more sensitive to politicians and their promises. Good. It will improve democracy from the ground up. The damage the Tories have done in the last 13 years will need some longterm repair. But it must begin with appreciation of what made Britain great...honesty, fair play and the strength of a given word.

But it must begin with appreciation of what made Britain great...honesty, fair play and the strength of a given word. Sir Bernard Jenkin who sits on the privileges committee and is one of Boris's accusers, is reported to have attended a drinks party held by Commons Deputy Speaker Dame Eleanor Laing in December 2020, while London was in Tier 2 measures restricting indoor mixing. When asked about this party both Sir Bernard and Dame Eleanor declined to comment. I sincerely hope this goes further. This entire debacle is a witch-hunt.
