Well it obviously didnt as getting sight of the report was the trigger for him to quit. i was thinking more along the lines of ‘given governments have a habit of redacting anything they can get away with, and concealing the truth at every opportunity, wouldn't it be interesting if what gets put in the public domain had nothing incriminating….’ As can be seen now, that isn’t the case. Ah well

It's his own fault for having a birthday, and being ambushed with a slice of cake and sip of wine .... FFS when you read it for what it really is, it's completely ludicrous.

Boris Johnson deliberately misled MPs over Partygate and faced 90-day ban before he quit, report finds ----------------------------------------------------- Is there any way back now for the Tories ? Hopefully, there is. But it will require real Conservatives, not tin-plate Tories. The party needs to discover (uncover?) enough honest and able people to fill its senior roles, and they’re not very visible at the moment. Four leaders/PMs in seven years is not a good look — especially as one is now busy destroying the party, and another (whose grasp of economics was at best cheesy) trashed the UK economy in just 44 days…

I'd say the most glaringly obvious of all time, that makes Johnson look like a choir boy was Blair over his illegal war in Iraqi, he lied about WMD, he should have been jailed for war crimes, instead he gets a knighthood, but then again it is the double standard lefty loony hypocrites we are talking about..

Did he knowingly lie though or was he misled by a dodgy dossier?

There's a difference between lying in Parliament and lying to Parliament. The only 'difference' being, Johnson got caught. The others are bit smarter (for now) I think that you haven't really understood the difference between committing the offence and lying to parliament. The report was about him misleading parliament, not holding parties. And he's made it worse by trying to undermine the process.
