The new “rule of six” simplifies and strengthens the rules on social gatherings, making them easier to understand and easier for the police to enforce. It means that – apart from a set of limited exemptions including work and education – any social gatherings of more than six people will be against the law.
Gathering means the congregating or assembly of a group of persons in one area; and.
I can count 5 just in that view, and that's just one room.
BTW the police would not consider that ^^ 'work', not with Starmer swigging a 'bottle of beer'.
Any gathering of more than six, does that mean no more pub-crawls? Can't be having that, some of my very enjoyable nights out have been spent on a pub-crawl

No Police & Crime Commissioner anywhere, has any say what so ever into police investigations, it would be ilegal, wrong, and way outside the remit of the office of Police & Crime Commissioner. Overwhelming and unquestionable evidence was produced that the gathering in Durham Labour Party Constituency Office WAS a scheduled meeting, and that a series of events took place, including campaign video's, the agenda's were given to Durham police. Communications including emails and mobile phone messages which were date and time stamped were given to Durham police, and these communications were self explanitary of the business on the agenda. There is absolutely no question what so ever that the meal break could be described as a "social gathering", breaks for both rest and refreshment was allowed under lockdown rules. The excusers for Pinocchio Johnson may try, but they cannot win this argument, its a lost cause, JOhnson is a liar and broke the rules, Starmer did not break the rules, TWO police investigations said so. I bet you truly believe that BS fiddles. She was fucking present at smarmers organised piss up. Ad I bet gray was too if it came to the truth.
EDIT and BTW how many more fucking investigations do you lefties want Boris to undergo?

If there was a case against Starmer in terms of bear and curry, the crap headed deceitful Tories would be screaming beyond screaming to get action taken on it. But some people will do anything and pretty much say anything in their wasted effort to defend Mr. Stupid and the rest of his stupid drinking and dancing friends. LOL ..
So are you going to insult our intelligence (I was going to say as well as your own) but you can't insult what isn't there.
You don't get the irony of Starmer and Labour slagging off Johnson and the Tories when here they are in full swing, 'caught on camera', Starmer swigging a bottle of beer, with at least 4 other around him, and they have the audacity to say the 'Tories partied while people were dying of Covid'.... WTF do you think Starmer is doing swigging a bottle of beer? He clearly doesn't give two fucks about those dying of Covid, he's enjoying a nice cold beer followed by a curry, with all his pals.
1. I never insult your intelligence, you do that with you own opinionated posts. 2. You don't understand the difference. I don't insult your intelligence you choose to do it for me. 3. Just a refreshment after a late tea, I don't see any dancing or very close chatting going on. Your opinion is just that, if there was anything in it those Tories with far more clout than yourself would be screaming injustice and getting involved in getting something done.

Outstanding speech from Theresa May - she may have been out of her depth as PM but at least she maintained her integrity. To be fair all credit to Penny Mordaunt too for not being cowed by the noisy but numerically few Johnsonloyalists.
Sadly no such courage from little Rishi. When democracy and the country required him to stand tall and strong, he seems to have run away. Pathetic weak little man.

That fuckin old staunch remainer got fucked off before she totally destroyed Brexit deals, hell hath no fury like a daft old bird who's been caught out, she hated Johnson because he 'got Brexit done', she was promised all sort of sweetners by the EU elite if she played ball with them, the daft old batty cow can't forgive Johnson because she couldn't carry out her Brexit sabotage.

As far as Theresa May is concerned, who incidentally was one of the worst prime ministers in decades, she needn't have said anything. Indeed she didn't say anything that wasn't 100% expected. Listening to Mrs May is like listening to a cracked record. Everyone knows she never ever passes up any opportunity to criticise the man who replaced her.

FFS...... Harriet Harman has revealed the Government provided her with assurances that she would not be perceived as biased when making judgments regarding Boris Johnson. The Labour veteran and chairwoman of the Privileges Committee made the revelation after Conservative former cabinet minister Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg asked her about her “famous tweets” and whether she believed she met the Hoffmann test — an assessment of impartiality. Ms Harman’s suitability has been repeatedly questioned by Mr Johnson and his loyalists over an April 2022 tweet, in which she suggested that by accepting a fine for breaking Covid rules the former prime minister was also admitting to misleading the House. Responding to Sir Jacob, the Camberwell and Peckham MP acknowledged that the spotlight on her tweets had raised concerns about the perceived fairness of the committee’s proceedings, but said she took it upon herself to investigate whether the Government would lack confidence in her chairmanship if she continued in the role.

History is not you strong point is it? Johnson only became worried about Harmon's 'impartiality' after he had seen the draft copy of the report. The Tories voted through the appointment of Harmon in the commons with no reference to 'possible' partiality problems'. She asked the government, when Johnson was PM, if they had confidence in her to carry out the investigation and they said, yes. Ress-Mogg is an entitled twit who will not be around come the next election.
