Reality is this. China does most of the manufacturing in the world, that means they make most of our stuff as well, so its OUR Co2 not theirs. Further they are building 24 nuclear power stations and the worlds biggest wind farm. They are currently responsible for 70% of new wind farms. Do you dispute this? No reality is THIS. I had to go to the vets today to pick up Chip and Angel our two shi-tzus after their MOT. Chip has got and issue with his liver and Angel requires a dental and clean because she has a massive underbite so that will add upto to about £1K. Whilst I was there an old dear was in tears because her beloved fur baby required treatment of £400 plus. And said she would phone the vet back as she was going to see if she could raise the funds for her beloved baby. I know she would have put herself in HOC and probably cut back on her own welfare ie food and keeping warm so her companion would get the treatment it required. After she left I paid her bill in full and told the receptionist to call her and say they had just received a donation for cases like hers. That is reality zany and you with your Pseudo-moralistic Stances just add to a persons like that ever increasing burden. I hope it makes you feel all warm inside. Do you think you are the only one who gives charitably? I have helped staff with debt and I have several charities I support as I was one of the lucky ones who made a few bob and I as a leftie snowflake socialist recognise that not everyone was as lucky as me. I also have personal experience of that hardship. After the 1992 crash I nearly lost my home and business. I fought off two repossession orders and spent 6 years clearing 8 CCJ's for my business. I had a coin meter which we hid from friends and family because we were ashamed. I don't often say say things like this, but fuck off, you know nothing about me. Oh, and well done for helping the old lady.

But it does and it is. I would happily have the rich pay more towards net zero, insulating homes etc etc. I am on record on here several times suggesting the rich can afford more. Do you support that idea or are you a faux defender of the poor?

The planet knows how to look after itself and doesn't require bumburghers intervention....Good to see that now in Brazil they are spraying CO2 over their remaining forests to combat all this eco bollox and its unachivable goal of net zero emmisions. It seems some are capableof seeing through this total farce. And no I am not contradicting my own statements.

It seems some are capableof seeing through this total farce. And no I am not contradicting my own statements. This you mean? Scientists are trying to understand whether the world’s most biodiverse forest has a tipping point that could throw it into a state of irreversible decline.
In the depths of the Amazon, Brazil is building an otherworldly structure. A complex of towers arrayed in six rings is poised to spray mists of carbon dioxide into the rainforest.
But the reason is utterly terrestrial: to understand how the world’s largest tropical forest responds to climate change.
You haven't a clue have you. In the meantime Brazils President Lula has nominated Thelma Krug to chair the global agency advancing the science behind human-caused warming.
Dr. Krug has vigilantly patrolled the Amazon — otherwise known as the ‘Mother Teresa of the Rainforests.’ Her potential ascent to one of the highest leadership positions in the field of climate science corresponds with President Lula’s embrace of rainforest preservation, leading to the country hosting COP30 in 2025 in the heart of the Amazon. Not a clue.

Less frequently than where and for whom. I get a lot .less snow in SW Scotland than I did in coastal Hampshire, it is warmer here as well, well in the winter, a lots less warm in the summer. The point was that the climate scientist said that snow would become a thing of the past. It is only a dozen years or so since i was snowed in. Snow is weather and what is 'normal' is purely based on personal experience and what is 'normal' never in fact happens. 1963 was a real killer and then a few years later it was as mild as could be I'd love to see which scientist said snow would be a thing of the past. Just so I could see the time scales involved. The reason they switched from Global warming to Climate change is that people thought 2 degrees warmer meant literally that on any given day it would be 2 degrees warmer than before. They didn't realise it meant the Jet stream would move across allow cold air from the arctic to be drawn down the East coast of the UK forming clouds and reducing sunny days and causing low pressure systems along the English channel which raise the height of tides to a level that would breach current flood barriers. notalotofpeopleknowthat.wordpress.com/2021/11/27/david-viners-thing-of-the-past-comes-back-to-haunt-him-again-2/What it indicates is that scientists were happy to allow scare information and false information to be spread around if it helped the warmist agenda. What people believe is largely down to the inability or unwillingness of scientists, and those who disseminate the information to the public, to clearly define what things mean. Many are quite happy to see the 'we are all going to die very soon' win the day as it promotes that sense of urgency that they believe is needed. That does not however make what is said true or indeed what the science says.

I don't believe that has ever happened. As for clearly defining what things mean, I would love to see that but you know as well as I that its far to complicated to explain all the variable outcomes. That's why the deniers find it so easy to cast doubt, all they need to do is find the smallest error in reporting and say SEE! But you've lost. The governments of the world have listened to the science and decided to take action, you are sowing your seeds of doubt to no one. 72% of the public agree AGW is real and that something is done about it.

Yet only 2 out of 17 voters in your poll say it is man made. I know your position, of course. Seems you and your fellow believers will have to work harder to convince the non-believers.

Personal insults are creeping back into your posts again. No personal insults from this end Zany. Just pointing out reality. Then if you are unable to address points and choose instead to demonise the poster, then I choose to ignore you. I am not interested in talking to someone who cannot make decent conversation. That is my choice. It goes like this, I point out that China is building 26 nuclear power stations and the largest wind farm in the world and you do not respond by ignoring it and accusing me of virtual signalling. You answer the point made. You have the rest of the forum that you've nearly killed to spout your filthy language and mindless utterings cheered on by your mates like some school bully. But not in the mind zone. Your choice

Yes it's called reality Zany. I can’t disagree that buying stuff from China makes us culpable in their CO2 production .All the more reason to press them to reach net zero asap. We can’t do that for them . I also agree with those who believe China is going to be the main factor in the world reaching net zero . If we ever do.
