No, I'm saying the Norwich recordings are not balanced out by any other reasonably local official weather stations. There's one south of Kings Lynn on an air base. What I think you are saying is that the decision on warming is based on averaging temperatures taken at weather stations across the country. Yes that's right. So Heathrow and Orkney are awarded the same temperature.

So Heathrow and Orkney are awarded the same temperature. No, they publish the place that gave the highest reading, they publish the readings for each area. They amalgamate the results along with thousands of others to give a view of global temperatures.

The poll gives him all the answers he needs. Unfortunately the climate does not depend on the opinions of a few people on a forum, but I am interested in how many people really want AGW to go away. And if polls mean something then polls across the UK show 70% of people believe in AGW and that it represents a real threat to mankind and the planet. The climate does its own thing and just because a few bumburgh deciples were fooled by a bloody snotty nosed kid they think they have the answer FFS. The only real threat to the planet are the arseholes who rushed out and purchased useless heat pumps and frigging EV's do you know anyone like that? LOL

Well I have two heat pumps, one which drives the DHW and underfloor heating, the other heats the pool.
I'm in the process of negotiating the exchange of my 3L Audi turbodiesel for an Mercedes EV that I can charge from the solar panels on my roof.
I'd like to understand how this makes me an arsehole.

My home is heated with heat pumps for the last 3 years, work well and cost about the same as gas central heating. My car is a PHEV

Which brings me back to a point I made earlier which you slipped by: Your argument is twisted, instead of arguing with Sandy you would be arguing with Besoeker were his personal temperature records showing Earth cooling rather than heating. Are you being selective?

totally unsuitable for most of the housing stock in the UK Nope. Of course you are wrong - again. The UK has some of the oldest housing stock in Europe and as such much of it is inherently unsuitable for the type of heating heat pumps provide.

I bought a second-hand oil-fired boiler from a guy who was receiving a 50% grant to install a heat pump; he lives in an old cottage. From what I gather, I think he might be interested in buying it back.

Why do they publish the highest temperatures? Why not they've done it for decades if not centuries. How accurate is it. Very. Why would I argue with Besoeker on this, he is just pointing out reading he has got from his local thermometer, I have no idea what the conditions Besoeker has at his home and he is not making any claims about global warming based upon the readings.
