Japanese according to a US mechanic are the best as long as they are made in Japan. Next is Korean Modern cars especially Germans build good engines yet they don't last. That's because German engines are too complicated and contain way too much plastic. Hence a £10k engine often gets wrecked by a 50p component.

Jaguar Landrover is a BRITISH company based in the United Kingdom, owned by an Indian company. Renault seem to be doing ok, as do Volvo and Volkswagon, but then its easy for them to sell in an internal market of half a Billion people. You people just dont get it at all ... I mean, its like saying that we can still have the same benefits of a members club by not been members, how does that add up. We shot ourselves in the foot by believing we could be better off outside the EU, well we are not better off, we are worse off. Volvo were bought by the Chinese. The same firm (Geely) also owns part of Lotus. Lotus is doing well right now due to Chinese market exports. No one has the money in the UK!

I've just come across this on GB News which at least answers how the Far Right will deal with EVs. It's depressing. I mean knocking something down is far easier than building something up.

Well the current trade agreement with the EU allows tariff free exports to the EU for cars which is exactly what we had before. The only difference is local content limits and there are about to be relaxed. So we do have the same benefits - we just dont have to pay £10 Billion a year for them.
