Oil, Gas and Coal. Last winter showed us all what that means. Sky high energy prices and foreign energy companies laughing all the way to their french banks. When did we last open a new oul or gas field ? But you choose to ignore the fact licences to extract from existing fields are for a specific time. You seem to gave been fooled by tbeir desire to close those when they run out Back in 81 my car, my boss’s car and my boss’s boss’s car were all fitted with incendiary bombs with mercury triggers like the ones the IRA used to blow the legs off Airey Neave. Charlie’s jeep went up in Park Row. The bomb squad found the others. The perpetrators objected to us finding a cure for cancer. Funny how one of their leaders didn’t object to being treated for it some years later. He should have had the courage of his convictions and died for it. My father in law had to when he found the drugs started killing him faster than the disease, and dad, who took everything people like me in that job created, only lasttd four years more. And the last one was pretty unpleasant. link

"I have just clicked on them and they worked, still it would be no great hardship to look".
So if it's all the same to you I'll remove that from what I ACTUALLY said
And I think I found one of your links from studying the innards of te url. It came here
In short, it says the new coal mine being proposed / opened in an unemployment black spot is advocated by its proponents because the output would be coking coal that is required by our steel making plants which currently has to be imported from overseas running up thousands of tons of C02 emissions just to get it here, which is a drop in the ocean compared to the billions of tons of C02 such plants emit (not sure if that's worldwide including china who don't give a fuck)
BUT
The link then goes on to say "there is an alternative" which proposes scrapping our entire current steel making blast furnace capability and spending fuck knows how much on installing different furnaces consuming natural gas as the carbon source for the steel.
But Just Stop Oil want us to stop using natural gas ............
Look, just to explain a few things, this is me, earning £8000 a year pro rata - £154 a week gross in fact) in a temporary post as a research assistant funded by the SERC back in the days when i was eleven stone, had a twenty eight inch waist and twenty eight inch flares were (just) still in fashion seeing as I'm wearing them. What am I doing for the money ? Measuring the total and reflected insolation (solar energy received) at the earth's surface at 51 degrees north 3 degrees west in high summer (June 1976). June 1976 when beer was 42p a pint and houses in even the nicer bits of Cardiff could be had for less than £18,000 because my cousin had just got a mortgage on one from her job as a hairdresser.... It is from that work that i know the most you can ever get in Cardiff is 691 watts per square metre and on average days you're lucky to see 350 So I was in the green energy business nearly fifty years ago. And frankly it's got just as many bullshitters now as it had then. Most sensible people would be amazed at the utter bollocks te centre for alternative technology at Machyntlleth spouted about the opportunity stuff like i'm testing here provided, but at least we knew them for what they were, long haired unwashed unkempt jesus freaks in hippie boots who used toilets that didn't flush so you could make compost from your own shit and redigest your own microbes....

John, it's about ten years ago I met an electrical engineer who wasn't working for the solar panel industry. he told me that many people were going to be disappointed to find that the forecast life of their panels was going to fall well short of the promises and would have to be replaced before their time; I don't know whether this has become the truth in a big way but have heard stories of failures.

We are opening new sources , more wind power , solar power and SMRs are in the pipeline . You can tell them to go home now . Round and round.😔 Exactly we are already doing the things that you claim these people want . So it doesn’t take a genius to see that as there is no cause behind the vandalism then they are doing it because they enjoy the vandalism

These are the hypocritical pricks who finance dead nags peaiceful and Innocent protesters.......Google the executive director of Climate Emergency Fund , a female psychologist , named M K S. Only articles that are pro her and the cause can be found, that is the level of power they field and infiltrate. Astonishing and eyeopening how their activism operates Oscar-winning Hollywood director who helps bankroll Just Stop Oil is accused of hypocrisy after it emerges he has an eight-bedroom holiday home 5,000 miles away in Ireland he jets off to 'when the going gets tough'
Oscar winner Adam McKay (pictured with his wife), whose films include the Big Short
and Don't Look Up, is one of a group of multi-millionaires behind the Climate Emergency Fund
A Hollywood director helping to bankroll Just Stop Oil has been accused of hypocrisy over his lavish holiday home in Ireland – 5,000 miles from his Los Angeles base. Oscar winner Adam McKay, whose films include the Big Short and Don't Look Up, is one of a group of multi-millionaires behind the Climate Emergency Fund. The Beverly Hills-based fund raises cash from its mega rich supporters and distributes it to 'disruptive' activists, including handing almost £1million to help Just Stop Oil wreak havoc in the UK. Mr McKay is a director of the fund and has donated over £3.2million to it to support 'recruitment and training' for groups including the British activists. In a webinar last year he pledged to help Just Stop Oil in any way possible and was even prepared to be arrested for their cause. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12134179/Hollywood-backer-Just-Stop-Oil-accused-hypocrisy-holiday-home-Ireland.html

And the smarmy ringpeice will.....,.It's all about oil according to the usual braindead... NOW Just Stop oil pressures Labour to repeal new anti-protest law hampering its ability to block roads and cause chaos: Eco-zealots blast Keir Starmer's support for 'dictator-friendly' legislation after handing his party £1.5million
Starmer is under pressure over the seven-figure sum received from Just Stop Oil founder Dale Vince. At the weekend it was revealed Labour plans to ban future North Sea oil and gas drilling should it win the general election – which mirrors the main demand of Just Stop Oil. But last night the green group, which has been blocking roads and disrupting major events across the UK, turned its attention to Labour's position on the Public Order Act, which makes it harder for them to cripple the roads. Smarmy has previously backed stiff sentences for protesters blocking roads and the party has not committed to repealing the law if it takes power. In a tweet last night Just Stop Oil put pressure on him to change his stance.
The two faced prick.
'While the Labour Party and smarmy have at least pledged to stop new oil and gas, they're still supportive of new, dictator-friendly anti-protest laws,' it said. 'We have no confidence in this government or their counterparts in the Labour Party.' www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12139481/NOW-Just-Stop-oil-pressures-Labour-repeal-anti-protest-law-hampering-ability-block-roads.html

Give this man a medal....I don't know how the police can stand by and observe it as a peaceful protest, the protesters are inciting and stirring up agressive people who would otherwise have been getting on with their day peacefully. 'I will run you over': Moment furious motorist drives through Just Stop Oil mob as eco-clowns target London bridges in time for rush hour Are YOU the driver? Email george.iddenden@mailonline.co.uk Protestors took a stand on some of London's busiest bridges this evening
This is the moment that a furious motorist drives through a crowd of Just Stop Oil protestors during rush hour. The man is shown pleading with the eco-clowns to move out of the way, before saying ‘I will run you over’, as the protestors place themselves in front of his van. Just Stop Oil supporters have taken up positions on London's bridges during busy periods in order to enforce their message. A fellow driver is seen shouting at the protestors after the van manages to accelerate through the horde. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12140351/Moment-furious-motorist-drives-Just-Stop-Oil-mob.html

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, it's a long thread, however. Starmer has accepted a £1.5 million donation from Dale Vince a former New Age traveller and owner of Ecotricity, a Green energy company. Dale Vince also bankrolls Just Stop Oil. That tells you all you need to know about the direction a future Starmer government would take the country. Fuel poverty for the majority.

No probably not, or an oil rich Arab, or a Goldman Sachs banker, or a corporation so on and so forth.
