If you ever meet these people it will quickly become apparent that they have been radicalised and they believe in what they're doing with religious fervour. I have met a couple of the welsh assembly who have been infected with their virus.
Try telling Wankford's Energy Adviser the planet is cooler now than it was in the past and the only reason the climate emergency exists is someone has been a bit selective on their choice of what to measure. Also the temperature readings in the upper atmosphere don't agree with the mathematical models ....
I am seriously coming round to the view let the fuckers have their way but sadly they will be dead becfore the rioters come to dig them up and posthumously behead them so they wont feel it

1) I think tinc actually deleted a post of mine and certainly warned me (i've still got the PM) about saying things like that.
2) Arsebook's not-fact-just-opiion checkers hated me saying as much
But i do think we are far too nice to some of these people. We have it in our power to make their lives far less comfortable than they are. We could surcharge them for the financial losses their actions cause and seize their homes and sell them to pay for it for a start. That;s what Maggie did to the GLC after all

It's a bit extreme to warn people for using a 'figure of speech', how many times do we say they need a 'good hiding', or 'I'll knock your block off', while on the other end of the spectrum we are allowing blatant criminal activity being applauded, idiots are actually applauding these criminals in the acts of their vandalism and criminal damage.
The world is going crazy.

At least you understand but they have never asked or expect the immediate stopping of using material gained by oil, just that no new oil is produced. The government could quite easily make that commitment by sourcing it elsewhere or investing more in green technology, we are an island after all, but they will not. And no, it wont be easy but if we don't we are all screwed, unless you do not believe in global warming. Knobhead who understands zilch. Don't under sell yourself.😔 |

No the placards don't but when they talk in interviews they are very plain. I did say this on the first page. "They want the UK to stop opening new oil sources in this country, like coal mines, oil wells........

We are opening new sources , more wind power , solar power and SMRs are in the pipeline . You can tell them to go home now . Round and round.😔 |

It's going to sound stupid when i say this but i have roleplayed this universe since about 1985. One of the stranger table top role playing games to come out of the cold war was a wargame scenario called "twilight 2000". This begins with Honiker using his T52's to invade west germany and Maggie using my battlefield tactical nukes against him, and suddenly the whole of western europe is back in the stone age, what's left of it.
There are no high grade petroleum products any more, no aviation fuel so to the relief of BOTH sides the americans can no longer "provide close air support" (or cause blue on blue incidents). War is reduced to small groups of former military organisations using gasohol fuelled vehicles. World trade ends because ships no longer have fuel of any kind to run with. The Cutty Sark is put back into operation. The arabs don't give a flying fuck about you anti-petroleum tossers and saudi becomes the new Washington DC. and Mohammed becomes the new Jesus. The Chinese equally give not a fuck about you anti petroleum tossers and Peking (we didn't use the native names back then and why should we now) becomes the new World Second City.
And almost all of Africa starves to death apart from the bit that's still run by white men
OK THAT's the GAME universe.
Some of that won't happen now. Apart from almost every black african starving to death because there will be fuck all point escaping to western europe it wil be starving to death too. No means to grow the food the population bloated from immigration needs, and no way to transport it. On the up side, no immigration unless they walk or paddle the rubber boats
