I remember well, when we were campaigning for the EU referendum, we had the remain and leave protesters, every time the remain went on their banner waving exercise it was 'well done' and cheers from the crowds... when the Leave went on their banner waving exercise we were 'far-right' 'racist' 'thugs' ... LOL
The loony left at their finest, labeling anyone who disagreed with them all sorts of names.

Should the police be rewarding lawbreakers with a nice cup of tea whilst said protestors continue to break the law. You have to look at why things are the way they are not take an event in isolation. GB news made a hero because everyone sees that the situation is effectively ludicrous. Can you imagine the uproar if the police were handing out cups of tea to law breaker burglars or car thieves , shoplifters or muggers, what's the difference in these Just stop oil law breakers?
The only thing you can conclude they are well educated, well-to-do, and well connected, they are using this to their advantage in the justice system, a nod and wink at the right people and they just get off with a slap on the wrist, it's not what you know, it's who you know.
So its a conspiracy theory, then.π

Policeman is seen helping Just Stop Oil protest vicar take a sip of drink after he glued both his hands to the road at fuel terminal β as fury grows at UKβs woke bobbies
"Police came to the aid of Just Stop Oil protesters by feeding them water during a demo in Essex Around 30 anarchists from XR-affiliated Just Stop Oil disrupted morning rush hour in Grays yesterday"
More tea vicar?
The scenes likely to fuel mounting fury at increasingly 'woke' police forces in modern Britain

I was not talking about the police action, although they are surely in the conspiracy to, rather the " well educated, well-to-do, and well connected, who are using this to their advantage in the justice system, a nod and wink at the right people and they just get off with a slap on the wrist, it's not what you know, it's who you know". But you knew that.

Because they get heavily criticised when they do, particularly when it comes to the new powers granted to curb protesters. People start demanding enquiries, officers get hauled over the coals..... That did not seem to be a concern during the king's coronation. And look what happened. People started kicking off about the new powers police had been granted. That the right to protest was being eroded. People started demanding inquiries. Officers got hauled over the coals. Funnily enough, the police have now bottled it and aren't using their powers to full effect.

How has this thread about GBNews turned into a Brexit thread? It's a rule of the universe. All threads eventually turn into debates about Brexit, immigration or climate change.

AS regards your secondary point the police should be arresting those who obstruct the King's Highway. It is from that that all else flows. The law is there for a reason to allow the progression of traffic along the highway. If the police fail to act, and there is little doubt they are failing to act, then it becomes a cause celebre those that are doing the police job for them. If the police stand by and watch some shoplifters pocketing your goods then would you regard an ordinary citizen who stopped them stealing your goods a hero or a criminal? What the police are currently doing is facilitating the breaking of the law by protestors and as many of us have said no good will come of that as frustrated and angry people will react and that includes those who report the news and are aghast at the attitude of those whose vocation it is to uphold the law. " If the police stand by and watch some shoplifters pocketing your goods" do you have any instances where this has happened, I think not. So why is there a difference. Do you think the police and those in charge of the police do not know that 'angry' people will take matters into their own hands when these incidents are occurring? I have said before that I think the 'tactics' of blocking roads is not the right one but my worry is why the police, given they have the power to arrest these people are not doing so. GBNews are 'glorifying' the violence by rewarding the perpetrators. I do not have to have an instance. I was referring to the actuality of breaking the law and how if the law is being broken and you are the victim then the perception of the police allowing law breaking moves into the personal and in effect law breaking against members of the public is always personal to someone. In terms of 'glorifying' violence is that not exactly what all the news channels are doing as regards Ukraine as they applaud brave Ukrainians fighting for their country. Russia effectively broke the law and the Ukrainians defended themselves so that they could go about their business unimpeded by Russia. In teh absence of an international police force they can only take the law into their own hands and fight back. Most people want to go about their daily business unimpeded by JSO and in the absence of a police force actually doing their job then praise for those fighting back is justified.

That the right to protest was being eroded. People started demanding inquiries. Officers got hauled over the coals. Funnily enough, the police have now bottled it and aren't using their powers to full effect. A simplified timeline then. 1. Police do nothing as protesters block roads. 2. Police arrest protesters at the Kings coronation and hold them for 16 hours. 3. Police do nothing as protesters block the roads.

While the BOE slaughters the economy, on the Brightside, why build houses they will have plenty of empty ones in a minute going cheap.
