How in the world does a 'news' channel get away with this sort of behaviour? linkThe commentators idea of 'Hero of the week' is nothing more that an incitement to violence. There are crazy people in this country that will have watched that clip and listened to the comments and take an inevitable step further. I am not talking about the rights and wrongs of what the member of the public did but a channel that people listen too acting so irresponsibly.

I dont know - he is a hero. Any guy who wants to get some work done in the age of workshy millennials and Gen Z skiving from home, is definitely heroic.
The country needs more people like him.

My point is that a 'national' TV station, no matter what you think of the man's actions, should not be 'encouraging' people to commit acts of violence against others.

So, no sensible contribution then?

Who has done that then Red? or did you take one thing and turn it into another?

What happened was that the Stop Oil idiots made a nuisance of themselves resulting in thousands of people being severely inconvenienced and the inevitable happened. The Stop Oil loons were bahaving in a way that was "liable to lead to a breach of the peace" but the police did nothing about it and, surprise, surprise. it led to a breach of the peace. The police, yet again, failed to do their job.
The guy who was arrested was a hero. I just can't understand why more people didn't join in and help him. If they had done the police would have backed off and the demonstrators would have had to bugger off. The simple fact is that if the police refuse to do their job law and order will break down.

So, no sensible contribution then? What's the point with you, you're a non-stop piece of rabble protest against humanity, nothing more than a little flower pot man.

Who has done that then Red? or did you take one thing and turn it into another? He was acclaimed as 'hero of the week' by GBnews because he 'manhandled' members of the public who happened to be protesting. There are a lot of people out there who would like to be considered 'hero of the week' by a national 'news' channel and image that going a bit further might clinch it for them. What else would you call it?

Not interested in the rights and wrongs of the protesters actions, there are plenty of threads on that. If you really believe that he is a 'hero' and that others should have joined in, you know very little of the competitive nature of human behaviour, in fact what you are advocating is a riot.

What else would you call it? I would call it stepping over the line, until someone became so annoyed by having their daily life affected by it. I guess for some people life is already short enough.
