All you are doing here is erecting an artificial wall of unaccountably - you even attempted to make an absurd standard ie that The Khan be shown to have a direct influence on this crime in particular. You are aware he is the mayor? My answer is essentially correct - at the moment he uses his influence to disable the police's ability to tackle crime. If he instead used his considerable influence (as Mayor) in the opposite direction, things might well be different in London. My apologies, Colbobs, I accidently edited your post No I didn't Jonksey did. I'm suggesting he couldn't be held accountable or be assigned blame for this crime in particular. Didn't you promise never to 'accidently' edit someone's post again the other day, or was that a different moderator? The bit you deleted is rather specifically related to your comment 'Are you aware.....' You must admit that looks kinda suspicious. As you know, I am aware - to paraphrase the bits of my post you deleted I'm aware that the mayor doesn't have the power to appoint/dismiss the Police Chief and his subordinates I'm aware that the mayor has no control over police operational policy I'm aware that the mayor has used all his influence to get the new met chief to get tough on crime and produce results.

Setting aside all that, no matter what he says and does to enable the police, what you do reasonably think he could have done, and can do to stop every violent incident will 100% effectiveness. How could anyone exert the level of control needed to stop a random guy going out with a machete and attacking a random stranger with no provocation. One might just as well blame Thatcher for closing institutions with her ''care in the community'' policies.

Ask yourself this very simple question. How many crimes go unrecorded in Londinistan?
28 Jan 2020 — This inspection found that more than 800,000 crimes were unrecorded each year

No I didn't Jonksey did. I'm suggesting he couldn't be held accountable or be assigned blame for this crime in particular. I assumed the conversation was more general - ie the mayor takes some broad responsibility for the dire state London is in and I assumed you were trying to pretend the mayor and state of London, with the rising wave of stabbings, the machete incidents etc were unrelated. Didn't you promise never to 'accidently' edit someone's post again the other day, or was that a different moderator? The bit you deleted is rather specifically related to your comment 'Are you aware.....' You must admit that looks kinda suspicious. It would be suspicious if I also attempted to misrepresent you. To clarify, my question was rhetorical and facetious. I agree It's not good form even if it is an accident (which it was). I Must try a bit harder

Jonsky while the 800, 000 crime goes unrecorded you got to ask how that figure compares to other areas especially them highlighted.
Has having a worse crime rate then London.
Then we can make a fair comparison.

Then we can make a fair comparison. You know full well that is an impossible task as we do not even know the severity of those unrecorded crimes or even if they are the correct number given to any area. But as the thread is about Londonistans abysmal record on crime why try and introduce other towns or cities into the equation? If you feel so strong about say the crime rate in Manchester why don't you start a thread about that?

Lol you talk about it being a impossible task but you try and introduce unrecorded crime stats to back up your claim that London crime exist because of khan.

Lol you talk about it being a impossible task but you try and introduce unrecorded crime stats to back up your claim that London crime exist because of khan. They are unrecorded crime stats for Londonistan which is very relevant to the thread. Khan has done jack to try and lower crime apart from whistle dixie.
‘You have a duty to keep people safe’ Susanna Reid shames Khan at 'appalling' London crime GOOD MORNING BRITAIN host Susanna Reid tore into the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan questioning why he isn’t doing enough to stop the devastating rise in knife crime in London mentioning they have never seen eye-to-eye on the matter.

Then we can make a fair comparison. So finding places with higher crime or unsolved crime makes it OK for London to have high crime rates?

I live in London and most people I know dislike Khan, as far as I am aware he is still under investigation for exceeding his authority and bullying Cressida Dick the Met Commissioner out of office, not that she was good at her job, The Mayor of London leads the Greater London Authority is responsible for the strategic governance of Greater London. Along with the London Assembly of 25 members, Sadiq Khan is accountable for pan-London issues which include transport, economic development, policing (outside the City of London), civil defence and fire services, planning and the environment.

Well the most people you know seem to be a minority in London regards to Khan I tried my best to find any logic in the above then gave up, at the last vote when he stood for re-election only roughly 1.1 million people voted for him, when he was canvasing, he was booed on a regular basis, Londoners are not happy with his road calming methods and more and more cycle lanes, which has increased congestion traffic jams, high congestion charges, some people living in London have had to buy new cars because of the strict emissions areas which he wants to expand to cover all of London. I can understand he wants to improve air quality in London, which is needed but IMO he is squeezing every penny he can out of motorists before 2030 He has put up fares on the Tube and Buses, TFL is skint again, he has cancelled some bus routes which has angered an awful of lot people, he is thinking about charging people who do not live in London to drive into London, which would include tradesmen in vans carrying tools etc, delivery vehicles, the additional costs would be passed onto their customers When he went on tour of India and Pakistan, he told them come to London its open, what the Pratt forgot was the fact it is difficult to find accommodation in London very expensive to rent and buy, he has not built much social housing since he has been in office nowhere near what he promised supply is outstripping demand and has been for a long time He is about as much use as a one-legged man at an arse kicking contest
