Had recently said he would serve under Sunak but presumably not invited. Rees Mogg had a similar relationship with the truth as Johnson. Politics will be better for not having either involved. Brandon Lewis also going - cant say he has left much impression on me. Gove was doing good grown up things a while back in Justice before being moved. Would be a good fit for Justice IMHO.

Sunak is already on the right foot by putting the deadwood in their rightful place which is the backbench.

The Tories will have to get behind Sunak whatever the price. If they don't we are going to finish up with riots in the streets. The first two jobs are getting back on a friendly footing with the EU countries to help stop illegals and bogus asylum seekers entering the country then sorting out the NHS from GPs upwards. Indeed. I don't expect in fighting because they must know that ousting out Sunak will make not having a general election untenable. I was even reading Dorries now says she will support Sunak. The members though is a funny one. Johnsonites are throwing their toys out but who cares about them. If Sunak has sense he would offer Johnson home Secretary as a piece offering and if Johnson accepts, many of the Johsonites might fall in line. I don't think there's a snowballs chance in hell that Sunak will offer Boris a cabinet position, or that Boris would accept one. It's hardly a secret they hate each other. Sunak undermined Boris and plotted against him, he then undermined Truss and plotted against her. He now talks of reuniting the party for the good of the country, Ha. He is a sneaky conniving duplicitous back stabber who was determined to be prime minister at any cost. He doesn't want to be prime minister for the good of the country, he just wants it on his CV, he's a spoiled rich kid who's used to getting his own way.

Perhaps we might address this once the cabinet has been revealed Red. Although to be fair to Johnson he has already tweeted full support for Sunak.

Hardly a sincere or glowing endorsement, it reads more like something he was expected to say. But yes, we will see.

The country and the world are in a dire situation. I hope he does the following:
1) Picks a cabinet based on ability and integrity, instead of filling it with his mates. 2) Is honest and explains how bad the situation is and explains the reasoning behind the measures he takes. 3) Get rid of the stupid Rwanda scheme and instead invests money into processing asylum claims quickly, and build reception facilities instead of putting them up in hotels ffs. We cannot stop this flow of people, so we need to speed up the processing and when necessary, the removal. 4) Massive NHS reforms. It is obvious that relying on private GPs and Dentist is no longer working, so let's bring primary care into the NHS instead of contracting it out.

…to be fair to Johnson he has already tweeted full support for Sunak. I can hardly see him doing anything else. Even he must have a basic grasp of the fact there’s a mob out here who want heads on pikes

If he puts a remain cabinet together he's toast, I hope he has the good sense not to betray leave voters, we know what happened the last time we tried to be cancelled.

It also wouldn't surprise me if Sunak offers Johnson the Home Secretary position given many of its responsibilities happen to be the core values the Johnsonites want to be sorted out. It also might unite the party further. I don't know. It just wouldn't surprise me if Johnson is part of the Sunak team.

Make him Ambassador to somewhere in the Carribean
Just about possible could make him Tory party chairman but far more likely he would wish to continue his speaking tours until the people of Uxbridge kick him out at the next election.
