You may want a GE, but that would mean Parliament would have to be dissolved and nobody would be at the helm, the only person that can call an election is Sunak the new PM and he will not at this time, you will have to wait until he decides to do so I agree nobody would be at the helm, not much different to now. The Tories spent over a month selecting Truss as leader and PM, while Johnson planned his holidays, and she lasted 45 days, it's not going well. We haven't had a functioning government since this all started. And how long would it take to organise and carry out a GE, much longer with nobody running the Country everything would be on hold, more damage to our economy. Sunak will have to get his arse in gear starting today |

Of course, but they are not called in the middle of an economic crisis and Covid still about, now that would be daft, they are usually planned and there is a set time when an GE is scheduled automatically |

The fact is that there are a lot of posters who would refuse to accept Sunak because he's of Asian origin, not because of his politics.
I won't condemn him as long as he stops all the shenanigans, fiddling and bribery the last gang of so called Tories practiced.
