The worst patient safety scandal in the entire history of the NHS is happening NOW, and it is the fact that people have died, and are continuing to die because of waiting times for ambulances. People with potential life threataning issues are waiting weeks just to get a GP appointment, then more weeks for specialised referrals. The British National Health Service which we were once proud of, is now SHITE, its something to be embarresed about, and the Tories have made it that way. 18 months to go - and the job of repairing the Tory damage ( yet again ) will begin You don't solve a problem by having a dishonest debate about it. The Tories have done some things wrong (namely recruitment and retention), but many of the problems are out of their control. 1) We are a nation of fat unhealthy fuckers that take no responsibility for our own health and expect the NHS to mop up. 2) The public insisted on the lockdowns, which created an enormous backlog. 3) Financial crisis and now COVID have left the public purse in tatters. 4) People are living longer and are ending up with dementia which costs a fortune. 5) People do not look after elderly relatives anymore, which again costs a fortune. 6) The UK public want Nordic levels of public services, on American levels of taxes. 7) The UK public demand their right to inherit their parents property / estate, and therefore resist elderly care being paid for by the person that needs it! 8) The direction of nursing has changed, meaning that it is now a highly academic profession and that has put a lot of people off. 9) Treatments are becoming more and more costly, and more conditions can be treated. Add about another 50 things to that list and then tell me that Labour are going to turn around the NHS so easily lol. Look around, we have a public health emergency with the majority of the population eating too much, eating the wrong foods, drinking too much, smoking too much and not being active enough. WHICH YOU HAVEN'T MENTIONED ONCE and neither will Labour because they are too fucking woke to risk being called fat shamers!! If in doubt always mention the NHS.

20 years after Labour introduced their GP contract that did away with family doctors they are now intending to tear up that contract and reintroduce family doctors... Welcome to the future - it's the same as the past..

another good article on the disaster that is keir starmer and the mandelson advised new labour tory party....
Labour is on the warpath at last. But why is it targeting benefit claimants and disabled people?
By reviving scrounger myths and rubbishing free social care, Starmer’s begun a race to the bottom – one the Tories will win

WHICH YOU HAVEN'T MENTIONED ONCE and neither will Labour because they are too fucking woke to risk being called fat shamers!! The crisis in our NHS began long before anyone had ever heard of Covid, and so using the pandemic as an excuse, does not work. The fact is that simply for our NHS to stand still in terms of income, you have to increase its budget by 3% per anum, and for most of the period since 2010, the annual increase has been only 0.4% - a REAL TERMS reduction in spending. The real terms cut in NHS spending is the main reason it is now in a mess, barely able to cope, and both waiting times and waiting lists were getting longer and longer BEFORE the pandemic, but of course now its in a critical state. How would you explain the appaling ambulance wait times ?, why did this not happen before Tories came to power. ? All that the public ask for is an NHS that actually works, and where people who need treatment, get the treatment within a reasonable time frame, where you can get to see a GP in 2 to 3 days like we once always could. We were able to do this for several generations, so why is it not achievable now. ? Answer: Because our NHS which was once a Public Service, has been starved of proper funding and carved up and slowly handed to private companies - meaning it is no longer a public service.

The risk of Type 2 diabetes for this imported group is 4 or 5 times greater than the white European and Type 2 diabetes accounts currently for about 10% of the health budget. If about 5 million people in the UK currently have Type 2 diabetes then the importation across the channel in small boats alone will bring in many thousands who will need immediate treatment. Idiocy reigns everywhere.

The Tories have made many a U turn over the years, and this could be described as a U turn, and I agree with it 100%, and so should everyone else.
GP Practices ARE NOT part of the NHS, they are private businesses, and their main aim is to make money, their secondary aim is to provide a service.
For every patient on book, these practices get a fee, and for every patient consultation, these practices get a fee. Therefore the more patient consultations there are, the more income the practices get.
Most GP parctices where I live now force many consultations onto video or telephone, in other words no face to face meeting with your GP. This cuts down time, it gives more consultations per hour, bringing in more money.
Where I live you are told thay your "slot", even visiting a GP in realtime, is so many minutes in duration, and that once that time limit is reached, the consultation will end ... no matter what.
I know of parents who have left GP practices utterly astonished and deeply upset when attempting to arrange specialised consultations via their GP.
THIS HAS GOT TO STOP It was a mistake by the government of Tony Blair, and GP's MUST be made to work directly for the NHS, and for us, the public, the tax payer, and not for themselves.

Well New Labour scrapped family doctors in the first place because the BMA were not happy - will going backwards make the BMA any happier this time round? And round and round we go...
