The BMA used to be a respected serious professional organisation. How could he, as a junior doctor be co running it?.......Nasty smirk on his face - wonder how he decides his priorities, patients or earning his director fees
Hard left union leader who has abandoned the picket line to attend a wedding despite being behind junior doctors strike is an ex-public schoolboy and director of his family's multimillion pound investment firm
The militant leader of England's junior doctors (left) - who is on holiday as his colleagues hold
the most disruptive strike in NHS history - is a director of a multi-million-pound family

devastating 96-hour industrial action. He is currently absent from the picket lines because
he had already booked time off to attend a friend's wedding.

Shroud-waving doctors are planting tales of woe in the media daily, as if revered sawbones were above the political fray.

This is a good thing . It will go some way of the public seeing doctors as heroes . Don’t get me wrong doctors are highly trained specialists and should be seen as such but they see us all as a case , just another case that they don’t want to fuck up.

Many junior doctors earn £14.00 per hour - NOT GOOD ENOUGH
All junior doctors are in real terms, worse off in pay than they were 15 years ago, and that is due to years of either pay freezes or pay rises way below inflation.
The Drop-Out rate is now a very worrying 40%, many are going to New Zealand, Australia, the United States and other countries where pay is better, and terms and conditions are better.
MOST people in the private sector would not work the kinds of hours and shifts that junior doctors work, where for example your weekend On-Call begins at 5pm Friday ( the time you finish your normal shift ) and continues on for 64 hours continuous until 9am Monday morning ( the time you begin your normal shift ).
A 35% pay rise is asking too much, but it does represent what junior doctors have lost over 15 years
They deserve at the very minimum, a pay rise in line with inflation, and a guarantee that some of their losses in real terms pay will be recompensed over a period of time.

And the real knob is Stephen Barclay who continues to refuse all offers to be properly interviewed.
Because he knows he's a liar, will be shown to be a liar and be exposed for sitting pretty on at least twice the top junior doctor salary because strangely ministerial salaries have been well protected against inflation but doctors salaries haven't. And that guess what we have loads on unfilled doctor vacancies because of his idiocy and no shortage of people that could fill his job.

Fullfacts disputes the £14ph figure Currently, those starting out as doctors in England take home a basic pay of £29,384. This moves up to £34,012 in year two, and £40,257 in year three when they start to specialise.
The Government has said, however, that these figures look more like £38,000, £46,000, and £55,000 respectively, once you take into account additional earnings for working unsocial hours.
......
The British Medical Association, the registered union for doctors, claimed back in March that junior doctors make just £14.09 per hour – less than someone who works at Pret a Manger.
However, fact checking organisation Full Fact has since suggested this is not wholly true, arguing hourly pay for the average junior doctor – once extra earnings and holiday is accounted for – is more like £20 to £30 per hour. ................ It comes as it emerged that junior doctors can already claim up to £10,000 tax-free in “life admin” expenses on the NHS, including redirecting their post and nursery fees.
In the last five years, more than £40 million has been claimed by junior doctors in moving expenses, according to figures obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.
Since 2012, junior doctors have also been able to access bursaries and £1,000-a-year grants from the NHS, funded by the taxpayer.
I live near the Countess of Chester hospital , yesterday the picket line was comprised 5 people - today not a single soul was present- maybe they've all gone on their holidays? www.telegraph.co.uk/pensions-retirement/news/striking-junior-doctors-pay-pension/

Or had you forgotten that dead nag? So your idea is that they should work, no matter what, on the terms and conditions that are not acceptable? 500 people a week are dying because they cannot access the care they need because of Tory cuts.

If I had to describe what my perception of a woke snowflake, the kind that blocks the M25 with their just stop oil protests, Laurenson would be it.
What a feckin geeky looking gormless git he is.
The likes of his kind is destroying the UK.
