Still upset I see, just because politically intelligent Centre-Left politicians kicked that insipid king of naivety - Corbyn's - hard-left arse into touch. You are such a total parody you'd probably be good in stand up comedy. Just keep talking politics and they'll all soon be laughing at you. You mean the overopinionated hard Lefties will pop up from the confinement of their political box with their imitation, made to order laughter, hmm that would be good for a laugh.

What does that mean? For the purposes of clarification, yes I am a left winger and a social democrat come socialist and proud of it. But I am not a Labour supporter. I promise on all that I hold dear that I will not be voting Labour in the next GE. See 2 has been putting in a sterling performance when it comes to making me even more certain never to vote Labour. Don't be silly, your position is all of your own making, hard-left and unable to see beyond the end of your nose.

The question is ..will the economy improve more under Labour than it would under the Tories? I doubt it tbh. So do I - Taxation levels are crippling as it is so Labours proposal to increase them further does not bode well for growth. So what are Labour's 'actual' "proposal to increase them further"? Them being plural.

Labour will never learn from history all they do is tax and spend then tax some more when they have been in office, every time there is a GE those with serious money, global companies investors move money out of the UK as fast as they can if they think Labour may in, the French made that mistake a few years ago, the money and people simply did a quick Dunkirk the French reversed their decision ASAP.
Denmark recently put up the taxes on high earners and the well of, then wondered why many of the Billionaires had folded their tents and fled to Switzerland and elsewhere with lower taxation regimes, its not Rocket Science is it,

I class myself as still being on the real left but that is the left whereby it works for British Citizens. The modern left are imbued with the international flavour of the left which is a pipe dream. Labour was the home of the British Working man but the identity politics and determination to be seen as international did more to destroy close knit working communities than anything Thatcher did. It is a tragedy that the party of the British working man did so much to put the British working man in his place, at the back of the queue and without the family and local support networks important for their well being

At least there is one thing the Tories and Labour clearly agree on. Neither of them wants to change the electoral system because from one cycle to another it gives both of them the absolute power which neither ever deserves.

For me, its not really about Party Politics, but more about the kind of society I would like to see, and the broad direction of travel I would like our country to move. I vote Labour because both here, and in the country as a whole, it is they who stand by far the greatest chance of ousting the Conservatives, however I have voted Lib Dem before, and I support the kinds of Progressive politics persued by the SNP ( but not in favour of breaking the UK up ), and Plaid. For me, proportional representation would mean coalition governments of "Progressive" parties, with Labour been the senior partner, and proportional representation would mean less Conservative governments.

According to yourself the windfall tax has already been used. When did they say they would increase VAT? Taxes on foreign individuals is a maybe, and many would agree with it. So that's it, so not a big raid on taxing people.

The mean minded Tories didn't appear to like that. Money grubbing "Billionaires" need to spend some time in a psychiatric hospital, along with anyone else who makes excessive wealth their driving force in life. The NEED to be excessively rich is an emotional need, not a logical need. That's where I would say "its not rocket science" appropriately fits in.
