Labour sliding even further down the polls.....This is what happens when they only have gutter politics and no manifesto. Rishi Sunak plotting autumn 2024 election after slashing income tax and increasing the minimum wage in search of victory - as polls tighten Labour's lead to the narrowest of his premiership Labour's poll lead cut to 14% - the smallest since Rishi Sunak became PMRishi Sunak is plotting a general election in autumn next year after unveiling tax cuts and a boost to the national living wage, it has been revealed. The Prime Minister's allies have dismissed claims that he will 'go early' and take the country to the polls in May 2024. This is because he wants to allow his efforts to boost people's incomes to 'bed in' before an election campaign, they said. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11960033/Rishi-Sunak-plotting-autumn-2024-election-slashing-income-tax-increasing-minimum-wage.html

The usuals will be spitting out their usual wrath......No worries. Slowly toasting the covert Republican of Starmer over the Dispatch Box will be sheer joy.......By next year the brexit unicorns will have arrived and the UK economy will take off........I'm far from happy with the Conservative Party but I don't see the Labour Party as a credible replacement and the thought of a coalition or a party with no clear majority or manifesto absolutely horrifies those who love their country......
Rishi Sunak is 'likely to hold off calling a general election until October next year' : PM's team 'are waiting until autumn to call national vote amid hopes Britain's economy will have recovered by then'
Prime Minister likely to hold general election in October or November 2024
The Prime Minister is likely to wait to hold a general election until October or November next year, sources said last night.
Rishi Sunak's team believes that waiting until the autumn will allow the electorate to benefit from the beginnings of any economic recovery and see the effects of his tough migrant boats package, the Daily Telegraph reported.
Why is that a surprise? I wouldn't be shocked if they delay it to December 2024.

Perhaps to many people on holiday in the summer months , personally I think there is case for making it compulsory to vote in GE so those in the Commons or wanting to get there get a more accurate picture of what people think, but it will never happen

If Starmer is a covert Republican, that would make the Tories covert Fascists.

I tend to agree. There is little functional difference between Labour and Conservative. I may protest vote for Reform this time around. At least then my conscience will be clear when the inevitable Lab/Con cock up occurs. Of all the political options you would choose to vote for a neo Fascist party, hmm.

I tend to agree. There is little functional difference between Labour and Conservative. I may protest vote for Reform this time around. At least then my conscience will be clear when the inevitable Lab/Con cock up occurs. I will not be voting Labour or Conservative for similar reasons. Both just two cheeks of the same grotty arse, both led by a bunch of liars and clowns, both run without any principles they wouldn't sell for power, both inherently corrupt, and both prepared to campaign in the gutter.Where we differ is that I would not in a million years vote for a right wing party of protest. I will vote for whomever the most progressively left candidate happens to be. But if everyone in this country who is utterly fed up with the Lab/Con duopoly actually went out and voted for an alternative - whatever that alternative might be - we'd create a political earthquake that would shake their cosy duopoly to the core. Both Labour and Tory will keep telling everyone that a vote for anyone else is a wasted vote. Well they would, wouldnt they! But the central fact remains that if you want any kind of real change, voting either Labour or Tory is the ultimate wasted vote. Your post is a sad reflection of your sad brain, and all because you can't have your own political way. Thankfully extreme opinions usually get lost along the way.

I'd go to jail rather than be made to vote.
