I agree with your first bit, as for the second bit sadly it will never happen you are safe for now I'm 86, have not long been diagnosed with COPD and think I'll be safe for another 25 or 30 years. If they come for me they'll face my catapult and marbles ammo.

You are such a total parody you'd probably be good in stand up comedy. Just keep talking politics and they'll all soon be laughing at you.

Well that doesn't include me. You must be talking about See 2 In YOO. What does that mean? For the purposes of clarification, yes I am a left winger and a social democrat come socialist and proud of it. But I am not a Labour supporter. I promise on all that I hold dear that I will not be voting Labour in the next GE. See 2 has been putting in a sterling performance when it comes to making me even more certain never to vote Labour.

It does not really matter when the next General Election is, just so long as Parliament is dissolved on, or before 17th December 2024, which is a legal requirement.
So far, over 30 Conservative MPs have stated that they will not be standing at the next General Election, which I guess tells you something.
With regards to an "Improving Economy" -- The UK is set to be one of the worst performing major economies in the world this year, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
It says the UK economy's performance in 2023 will be the worst among the 20 biggest economies, known as the G20, which includes sanctions-hit Russia. ( BBC News / Reuters )
And the Polls ? ... According to Electoral Calculous, who take a mean average of all opinion polls, their latest prediction is that a General Election tomorrow would result in a 264 majority for Labour.

The biggest key difference between Labour and the Conservatives on the economy, is that Conservative ideology has always favoured more Free Market, less intervention. I personaly believe that intervention can, and has, created conditions for growth, and created a catalyst for growth, I very strongly oppose leaving everything to the private sector, and everything will somehow find its own level. Probably the worst example of this is the Housing Market, where, for decades there has been nowhere near enough social housing for rent. It simply cannot go on like this, there has got to be a better way, try reading the ideas of Professor Paul Krugman, the Nobel Prize winning economist, who predicted correctly that David Cameron and the Conservatives back in 2010 were on the road to nowhere. Yes - I am totally convinced that a Labour government will do better

So do I - Taxation levels are crippling as it is so Labours proposal to increase them further does not bode well for growth.

IMF predictions / economic predictions are always wrong because their predictions will only be true if conditions stay the same. What happens is that countries (and companies) adjust their strategies to target the problems they are facing, thus throwing off the predictions.

Yes - I am totally convinced that a Labour government will do better Yes the housing market has been dire for decades with both Labour and Tories but who has it been dire for? Not the highly paid middle class home owners on both sides of the house . Both parties have had plenty of time to build houses and stop house inflation . Problem is house inflation creates more spending and more lending . Also it seems over the past few years we have had nothing but government intervention.
