One very stark and very obvious fact arose from the EU Referendum, and that was the huge difference of opinion between young people and older people. Based upon that fact, I have always concluded that its fairly obvious that given time ( when the old farts have snuffed it ), the UK will eventually rejoin the European Union. In the 18 - 24 age group, the REMAIN vote was 73%, in the 25 to 34 age group 63% in favour of REMAIN Or it could be that as people get older their opinion on the EU changes so those leaving this mortal coil are replaced by those retiring (and less likely to care about employment prospects). As for the Poll yes we should explore it when the time is right and it isn't now or IMHO any time soon. Just going to Brussels now and begging to rejoin would get us very poor terms.

So too is referring to people as "remnants". Nop. One refers to the remnants of ex remainers who still cling to the EU and the other involves an ethnic element . If you can't see that the use of the term remnant (the bits and pieces left over) for the millions who voted remain is an insult, then that makes you look very stupid.

You ignore the underlying problem of the thousands of firms of all sizes that were destroyed and never replaced in the 1980s. Thus creating the need for the Minimum Wage for shelf fillers and those in 'Mac Jobs'. (A problem it seems that the UK is about to be forced to resolve.) "Who shared that value?" not me, and not many others according the huge fall in unemployment, and certainly not the skilled, the professional or the self employed migrants. Nothing you posted refutes my point . The points I pointed out are the points that allow you to post your ill informed biased opinions as if they meant something. In short, your whole post was refuted.

Definitely not. The EU is an insular region of the world where it demands to co-govern national democracies. It is an anathema to the nation-state. The UK realises there is a world beyond the EU where trade governs cooperation and not just policies and mad-hatter ideology that beholds the EU. It's time people moved on from their pining of all things EU. It is far too early to even think about rejoining, even then perhaps too much damage has already been done in terms of the UK rejoining. We have missed our golden opportunity to be part of an organisation that has shared values, shared aims for the future, and which shared of a number of basic agreements designed for strengthening the market and for future advancement. (Not for the exaggerated claims of governing member countries, that's just a Brexit whinge). Italy and Greece are evidence you are correct though there are others. :@

In your opinion. We had 40 odd years of "golden opportunity" and it led to little. The fact that UK governments had the vast control of the UK economy over the last "40 odd years" is, if anything, what "led to little". Being a member of the EU didn't stop Germany from flourishing, so your comment stands for 'very little'. Si I think my "opinion" still stands. You can only point to Germany as one of 27 nations who have "flourished." Thank you for making my point for me.

Nope. The fact that you are overreacting makes you look very stupid. So you have no intelligent answer to my post, that figures. My claim to fame is that I was probably first to coin the word Remnant, years ago. Not only is it fitting it is far less insulting than brexshitter, especially as I always honour Remnants by using upper case for the first letter.
