Yes, we know Marxists thrive on political decadence, but it isn't something decent folk would celebrate.

...Secondly - all this happened in the immediate aftermath of The Windrush Scandal, and again, a scandal that could have been wholly avoided if the government had done things PROPERLY. What "Windrush Scandal"? That was another load of lefty made up bullshit.

Well the scandal was that yet another government Department had fucked up (in this instance the Home Office). What makes this instance quite hilarious is that those most outraged about the HO fuck up are the same people who believe that essential services (Water, Power, rail etc) in the UK will be better run by Government Departments...

Yes indeed, which is why I asked See2 if perhaps it might have been better if the benevolent British government had not allowed thousands of Jamaicans to come to the UK.

The British government brought then in to undermine the working class . Not only that but politicians of the day knew very well that post war low paid working class would see it as such

I mean, I'm no lefty but I think the reason the government allowed indeed encouraged immigration from Jamaica was due to a post war labour shortage.

I have absolutely no confidence they will be run any better by a Public Sector that is currently in charge of the NHS, Passport Office, Probate Office, Land Registry and Network Rail. ...

This was a Labour government in the early days of National Service.

Couldn’t be much worse, water expensive privatisation disaster, power? Where’s the competition, there is none nor any meaningful regulation and if any public service had done what they have you’d want them in court. Some things need to be run by the state, the military (you should know that) the essentials water and power too.

That was one reason the ex remainers are telling us Brexit was a disaster . We are short of foreign low paid workers . When I worked in Harlow an old boy there told me that before the war Harlow was a very rural place where the workers knew their place . After the carrot crunchers came back from the war they wouldn’t put up with the pre war bullshit . Imo this is why the post war government imported cheap labour from the colonies . To undermine the uppity demobbed military who expected to return to a country fit for heroes .

No there was no major Labour shortage, there was a services shortage whereby young white British men were forced to service the Empire abroad and basically learned very little over 18 months or two years. When they came back they had been replaced. About 2 million served in National Service between 47 and 63 whereas about 300,000 arrived in the same period.
