They have finally got a barge, it's going to be a bit cramped though. Well is not that cramped - flat screen TVs in every room, en suite bathrooms, Wi-Fi, a gym, games room – including snooker and darts – and a bar. All for free!! Put my name down for four weeks on the Barge in August please always wanted a free holiday by the sea, I can do a bit of Mackerel fishing whilst I'm there getting a tan on deck

Ministers pledge to house asylum seekers on BARGES moored off British coast in bid to slash taxpayers' £3.5bn bill for hotels.Channel migrants [illegals] will be housed on ex-military bases, disused ships and barges under plans to be announced today. The aim is to end a 'hotel farce' costing taxpayers more than £6million a day. Sites include an Essex airfield and RAF Scampton, home of the Dambusters squadron in the Second World War. The 'floating accommodation' could include disused cruise ships and ferries as well as barges with ship containers as living quarters. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11912759/Ministers-pledge-house-asylum-seekers-BARGES-moored-British-coast.htmlI don't agree with RAF Scampton being used to house illegals, but news of barges and disused ferries is encouraging. I was under the impression that they were not going to do that, the locals are up in arms about the Bargee being anchored in Portland Harbour I can't blame them many of them rely on the Tourist Trade for a living So would I be, it's time to stop branding people who complain about these illegal migrants being housed in hotels and barges. They are frightened to speak out, in case of being labelled far-right racists.
They aren't far-right racists they are UK citizens who are concerned about their space being invaded by illegal migrants, and now these hardfaced migrants are threatening to roam the streets rather than be placed in these barges ... the nerve of them, they are a entitled bunch of freeloading scroungers, and people should not be afraid to say so.

They could but the cruelty by our country is still not as bad as that suffered in theirs. Turkey? ... LOL
British nationals made over 3.8 million visits to Turkey in 2022.
You best tell those 3.8 million UK tourists not to visit that cruel country.
Jug ears Lineker who has taken in a Turkish refugee, when in reality he's probably a disgruntled bar worker who's fed up of waiting on British tourists, you can't get much dumber the jug ears Lineker.
Members of the British Royal Family visited Germany in 1937 and actually met Hitler. Didn't mean that all German citizens were safe there...

Know one wants them in their neighborhood, who can blame them.

Members of the British Royal Family visited Germany in 1937 and actually met Hitler. Didn't mean that all German citizens were safe there... It was an unofficial visit by the former King who had abdicated in 1936 the year before his visit to Germany he stood down in order to marry Wallis Simpson an American divorcee, his title at the time of their visit was Duke of Windsor, both were shunned by the Royal family for the visit and side-lined kicked into the long grass

The traditional approach was to find an area full of people who have no influence or power

The Green Party were on the TV earlier this week to tell the nation what they would do and how to end the housing crisis in the UK , they stated they would build 100,000 new houses every year , all well and good is it possible and where ? who would pay for it ? don't all rush at once I'll give you one guess ?

Just heard on GB News that these so called 'barges' are built in Holland and are actually luxury holiday accommodation that include, swimming pools, games rooms, bars, cinema and gyms. Poor lambs, I mean how on earth could anyone expect illegals to put up with slum accommodation like that.

Strange how our own homeless people have never been pampered like our foreign guests, why have they never gone to these lengths to house our homelessness, lots of them being veteran soldiers who have fell on hard times, we certainly roll our the red carpet for the boat people.
