You'd have to be very stupid to pay more to join a "free trade" bloc than the tariffs that would be applied if you traded with it via WTO rules. Especially when they require you to subjugate your own laws to their laws and raise swingeing protective tariffs against all nations that are not part of the trade bloc - and that includes most of the fastest developing nations in the world. As I've said before it did make some sense many decades ago to be part of the Common Market because we did most of our trade with Europe and international tariffs were very high - and membership costs were relatively low. As international tariffs dropped, EU membership costs rose and the "baggage" of being a n EU member became intolerable it gradually became a liability that we had to ditch at some point. The reality is that it changed from a trading bloc to a European superstate that threatens the peace of Europe and the economy of Europe. The imposition of the single currency was the last nail in its coffin. And Ms Alibi Brown is one of the most stupid people in the world. Anyone who takes instruction from her is an imbecile. Except that you get far more than tarrif free trade. You get access to grants and loans at preferential rates. You get access to some of the best universities in the world. You get hassle free transport of goods across a market of half a billion people. You get preferred inclusion into some of the most advanced cutting edge research which can be monetised to your advantage. You get confirmed allies in any trade dispute. Assurance that what you buy is of the highest standards and that much of what is manifactured is sourced in the EU under strict rules of quality, safety and workers rights. You get coordinated and integrated police forces which monitor drug and people trafficking. You get a huge and powerful international cemented force that stands for a rules based liberal democracy in such places as the WTO and the UN . In my opinion, that is worth belonging to.

In my opinion, that is worth belonging to. Big dogs bollocks. 1. Crap. we're big net contributors to the EU 2. We HAVE the best universities in the world - that's why so many of our students are foreign 3. We trade hassle free via WTO all over the world. The only hassle is when the EU DELIBERATELY cause it. If that's their attitude I want no part of it 4. Crap. We have some of the best scientists. And it shouldn't require us to give up control and sovereignty to cooperate in research 5. Crap. 6. Crap. 7. Again it shouldn't require us to give up control and sovereignty to cooperate in policing 8. I don't want rules based on liberal democracy. The UK voted for control and sovereignty, not to be bound by rules made bu an unelected bunch of criminals. You've basically just listed everything that's wrong with the EU. They're a bunch of criminals running a protection racket. Basically they're like the spivs who come to your shop and say stuff like "We wouldn't like your plate glass window to get broken". Give us some money and do what we say and no one'll get hurt. Otherwise we'll go out of our way to make your life difficult.

I would, but I've never actually met one. I'm not saying there are not any, because anyone can change their mind, even liars and perverts do it all the time. I might even do it myself, but I've never met a Bregreter, and I'm certainly not apologising. You really are a one trick pony, aren't you? So you've never met a Bregeter but you must have, at least, heard of Truss and Johnson. Then why say that Alibhai-Brown can not be trusted for changing her mind when you accept that anyone can change their mind -- including yourself? You or Lizzie Truss can change her mind but not the writer -- now, that is double standards! It's alright, you may keep your apology. Lock it in a box and throw away the key. Like I said. One trick pony. Obsessed with one subject which triggers him daily. How sad.

If you had the intelligence to have understood my post then you would have gathered that I never subscribed or promoted that there are no racist leavers . What you would have understood is that I claim that it is crass, stupid and dishonest to allude there was enough of them to represent leavers as a group. ” Yes it was mine . I stand by it . Just how many people voted to leave the EU in an attempt to expel ALL non whites from the UK. Even the most stupid lefties must realise that near enough all of the migrants from the EU were white .May I re quote you: "How on Earth this stupid cow has convinced herself or other like minded imbeciles that some leavers had an agenda to expel all non whites is beyond understanding."
What you're saying is that you will never understand (never accept, maybe?) that some leavers had racist and all-white-UK agenda. You subscribe to it, otherwise, you wouldn't have said it. You promote it, otherwise, you wouldn't double down on it. Looks like you have never encountered or heard of English people whose idea of "white" is exclusive to the Northern, Western European and Nordic variety. Don't you remember that Griffin guy who was proposing to pay non white immigrants £50K each to go back to their native lands? Obviously, it was too much even for the BNP. You are becoming tediously obtuse. The migrants from the the EU were overwhelmingly white. You and that silly cow ( I stand by that ) are trying to tell us that a significant number of EU migrants were black . They were not. Leaving the EU was never a matter of keeping black people out of the UK . As for leaving the EU being a vehicle to expel ALL non whites from the UK …well you are just embarrassing yourself .

If the vacancies were taken by migrants then they wouldn’t have a chance to earn more . Low unemployment rates and large vacancy rates mean more competition from employers and higher wages anyway. The reason why we have vacancies is because the local workforce -- for whatever reason -- do not fill the vacancies. So, if vacancies were not taken by migrants then who would? What do you propose then -- we shut out migrants from, say, Eastern Europe and wait for local single mothers, benefit abusers and border-line retirees -- any local willing to work -- to decide to take up jobs as brick layers, back hoe operators, waiters, servers, nurses, etc. while we force businesses to eat extra labour costs of over priced local workers? “For whatever reason “. How many UK residents would benefit from vocational training? How many people would take up jobs of waiters and cleaners etc if there were flexible hours and no loss of benefits ? Id like to explore that before following the leftie/ ex remainer route if uncontrolled immigration.

Not only is Brexit to blame for lack of growth and a floundering economy, but Brexit is also directly to blame for the Northern Ireland peace process been on the verge of colapse.
The border problem exists solely because of Brexit, if it were not for Brexit, the issue would not exist.
The Unionist camp is using the border issue as an excuse not to go into power-sharing with Sin Fein, and accept a Nationalist First Minister.
Most people in Northern Ireland voted REMAIN, and most people in Northern Ireland do not want any border between Northern Ireland and the European Union (Republic of Ireland).
Any talk of any kind of border between the Republic and the North will reignite the IRA, but the muddled mess put together by Johnson was fiercely rejected by Unionists, and now it seems Rishi's alternative is also rejected.
Meanwhile MI5 have warned that increased terrorist activity is now "highly likely"
What a mess Brexit has been

Frictionless trading with the country's nearest, most important and largest international market is the perfect trading arrangement. All worth it.

In my opinion any threat to the Northern Ireland peace process is due to the intransigence of the EU, it would be perfectly possible to arrange matters to remove the current restrictions. The EU have put the integrity of their single market before the Good Friday agreement, if this does turn out to bite then the responsibility lies with the EU.
I would have preferred Ricky to walk away and let the EU do whatever it chose to do rather than divide the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland in this way.

It is not worth it if frictionless trading comes with having a foreign organisation imposing its rules on everything else on our Country. We will be getting frictionless trade with CPTPP that does not entail having our own private affairs being decided for us by other people.

And don't tell me that that odious BNP guy, Griffin, voted to remain. Please. As for your silly argument about expelling all non-whites from the UK: It's just you, isn't? Only in your head. That's not my argument. Neither is it Alibhai-Brown's point. This is what "that silly cow" said about Leave voters: "Some were racists and hoped that after the vote the nation would go all white." You just spun it like crazy now you're dazed and confused.

The construction and hospitality industries have been gasping for air and you want to wait for the "economically inactive" to decide whether it is more gainful for them to work as labourers or to continue to collect their benefits cheques.

Trading with CPTPP entails dealing with a trade barrier in the form of geography. Then there's the "small political issue" of China's application. That's not fricitionless. Can't be.

You haven’t met a few , you are making this up in your head . Pathetic . Im glad that you are posting this crap because it highlights just how dishonest, misleading and desperate some ex remainers have become .
