( good Yorkshire name ) If a minion or lesser person who works for the BBC aired an opinion on Twitter, a researcher, a clerk, a techincian or electrician, no one would be interested because no one knows who they are. I give up,Really? Apart from the obvious which has escaped you,the BBC were interested enough to sanction them. So you a Labour supporter say ordinary people don't count,now why doesn't that surprise me.
I don't wish to be rude but give me strength,your attitude epitomises all that's wrong with present day Britain and politics that its thought the celebrity culture matters.
I posted this the other day (different media outlet same story) These sort of people (and there's far too many) matter much more than some overblown overpaid celeb,these people risk all,their livelihood,their health and it's long term but people like Lineker and Rashford risk nothing wealthy and nothing to lose.
I'm frankly appalled that so much air time has been given to Lineker,if he stepped down and sacrificed his wealth in pursuit of his beliefs I'd respect him whether I agreed or not as it is he's just another inflated ego with a delusional belief of his own importance.

If it had been a lowly BBC employee posting the same comments they would have been sacked and nobody would have cared. No it isn't, it is merely that we wish to choose how to spend our own money. I have no interest in football, I once played it when I was about nine, it was cold and muddy and I lost interest. Apart from his asinine leftie comments I know nothing about Liniker, and the reason that I don't wish to fund his ridiculous salary is because I would rather spend MY money on something that gives me pleasure. I understand that this non partisan and simple viewpoint fails to meet your anti right wing hysteria on the subject, but there it is. The reason the BBC is funded from the license fee is to enable it to avoid the problem of being controlled by the people who pay the piper calling the tune. The fact that people from the Left and the Right of politics accuse the the BBC of being biased is IMO a pretty good indication that on the whole the BBC do a reasonable job of doing just that. |

Not a single Starmer worshipper on here has offered an argument. It's either a total lack of understanding in the law, a total blind spot to the actual issue being discussed, moronic trolling and all the usual smears. Combine that with the fascistic violent behaviour toward everyone they disagreed with (as witnessed over the last couple of decades), and corporate arselicking that they're unashamed of then it all highlights why there's really no point in wasting time on them. Some try because they're decent people, and it's good that they do, because it exposes all of these things.

More open to an alternative view. Many of their panellists are hardly the stuff of the RW and even then I would think the likes of Neil Oliver is LW and democratic but obviously not the radical left and not so mired in identity politics that now seems the very stuff of the left. I remember the days when the left were fixated on we are all equal with no differences and as such we cannot judge a person by the colour of his skin. If that were the case, which as you know i do not believe to be remotely the case, would you care to explain why the bbc and others are now saying, depending on the media concerned, that ‘speaking through his agent, Lineker stated he actually had / believed he had a special arrangement whereby he could shout his mouth off in a way others were denied the freedom to’ |
