Out of curiosity, is there any evidence that there has been any government pressure? Sure the Home Secretary and the PM have expressed their disgust at his tweet, and why shouldn't they, it seems to me that the main backlash is from licence fee payers outraged at having to pay the wages of such a loud mouthed idiot.
Comparing the Government to the Nazi Regime is a confrontational and aggressive thing to do, it is hardly the fault of the BBC and quite rightly they don't wish to be seen to condone such a disgusting hate tweet.

It was Germany in the 1930's - Nazis came into power in 1934. Throughout the mid 1930s, the British Union of Fascists adopted the sentiments of fascism being voiced in Germany, with Mosley himself saying that “fascism can and will win Britain”.
British fascists also took on a more vehemently anti-Semitic stance, describing Jews as “rats and vermin from the gutter of Whitechapel”.
It's true the UK never came under fascist rule, but large numbers of people in Britain were swayed by the inflammatory language at that time — and similar language, with claims of swamping, bringing disease and housing estate riddled with crime and violence, is being used now...
Did you make that straw man yourself or did you get help?

It makes you laugh, the outraged lefties doing what they do best, I can 100% guarantee you that if plans were submitted to build a Asylum center within 10 miles of Linekers mansion he would be the first to sign a petition and put a objection in.. LOL ... he doesn't want them anywhere near him, and he doesn't want his mansion devalued, which it would. You do know that Lineker has personally housed refugees right? Fairsociety makes things up again. Bit of a recurring theme here... Maybe he can take a few more.

Some of those who support EV's should take heed mate. The thing is jonks Lineker sponges of the taxpayers, we pay his salary, so he has no problem spending 6million a day on hotels for illegal migrants, the daft twat wants to get a proper job instead of sponging off the taxpayers, that's why he doesn't give a toss wasting tax payers money, because we waste it on him.

I wouldn't give him the steam off my shit, he's a smirking, smug, talentless tosser, he's never done a hard days work in his life, he's millionaire freeloader, who has nothing but arrogance and contempt for the UK taxpayers.

I am very pleased to see this morning that many are now lining up behind Gary Linekar in full support of him, including many pundits, presenters and celebrities. But not only that Players and managers are also looking into boycotting MOTD There are now so many people boycotting MOTD that it may well go out tonight with no commentary, no presenters and no interviews. I am afraid that the TORY RUN BBC has bitten off more than it can chew this time - they wont win this fight, and they will either back down or the 60 year old icon of British TV will be axed or taken on by another broadcaster. With any luck we can get replays of Bruce Forsyth.

Toreador ... "Do you think that housing refugees gives him the right to determine how Parliament should deal with mass illegal immigration?" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gary Linekar is not attempting to usurp Parliament as you suggest, he is doing what we are all fully entitled to do, and this comment and criticise.
If I do not support something the government does, do I have the right to criticise ?, do you ?, we are not in a totalitarianist state. We are supposedly a Liberal Democracy.

But no one would give a fuck about your bleating as it would at best be heard by a couple of hundred people where linekers bleatings are heard by 10's of thousands.

Ah I see where you are coming from now, you mean anyone well known or famous should not have opinions, or if they do they should just keep them to themselves.

The truth of the matter would be Lineker thanking the government and the UK tax payers for spending £6 million a day on illegal migrants, most of them are currently living in a better standard of accommodation than our own born and bred citizens. Lineker should then be saying, 'We realise that £6 million a day of taxpayers money is clearly unsustainable'. Then he should tell us what he would do to solve the problem, but of course he wont, he's just a attention seeking virtue signalling leftie, who thinks people will love him, when in stark reality the real people on the streets just think he's another leftie gobshite.

Here s the REAL truth www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXqVGtxFppQWith no mincing of words, this man tells it exactly how it is And no matter how much bleeting and squealing the excusers of this rotten government make, Gary Linekar has the right to personal opinions, and he has the right to air his opinions on social media.

Absolutely, of course he has.
The BBC also have the right to decide not to employ him.

From an article in the Indy Thanks. Do you think that the BBCs Chairman giving large donations to the Conservative party must question his "impartiality" He should be sacked
