The Brexit deal for Northern Ireland is another UK insult to Scotland
After all, if Northern Ireland will be the envy of the world because it has access to both EU and UK markets, why can’t Scotland – which also voted to remain in the EU – have that same access? In fact, come to think of it, why did the UK rob itself of that access to European markets which Sunak depicts as such an advantage?
The denial of Scotland’s case for a better Brexit deal isn’t just another example of Westminster intransigence – it’s evidence that Scotland can never get what it needs while it remains within the Union. To convince the Scottish people of that case will take the best possible leader of the SNP and a united effort involving the whole Yes movement. Let’s take the opportunity of forging that partnership afresh.

I dont know why you are posting stuff like that on this forum - as far as I am aware there are only about 3 Scots here and they all support Independence.
It's the Scots you need to convince not us.

All roads lead to independence. If Westminster gave the swivel eyed Scot Nats a bag of gold and a handjob every month they would still whine and demand FREEDOM!!

Well, that seems to have stopped everything in its tracks. I don't think Mr Yousaf is capable of tying his own shoelaces unaided, never mind convincing sane people to vote YES.

That is rather the problem.
Realising that they are bound to lose, the Scottish Nationalists have bottled out of holding a referendum this year and have fallen back on their usual tactic of blaming the bastard English.

There's a few British Scots around. They're probably embarrassed by it all, with them being British and living in England.

It's the Scots you need to convince not us. Not quite true in terms of eu membership pacifico. Keir starmer isnt exactly the best labour leader i have seen in my life, but he does look as though he is doing a sterling job in the polls.
The upshot of keir , an out and out pro european being the next pm , advised by of course arch europhile peter mandelson , will be to take us all back into the EU.
Think of it like the second world war , and the end days of the nazi regime as they were being attacked on all sides by the allies to the west and red army to the east......
Less than two years at most i believe? possibly a year in june?

Interesting . Are you saying that Starmer was lying last year ? “The Labour leader will argue that making Brexit work is essential because “you cannot move forward or grow the country or deliver change or win back the trust of those who have lost faith in politics if you’re constantly focused on the arguments of the past”. Setting out Britain’s relationship with Europe under a Labour government, Starmer will say: “With Labour, Britain will not go back into the EU. We will not be joining the single market. We will not be joining a customs union.” He will add: “We will not return to freedom of movement to create short term fixes. Instead we will invest in our people and our places, and deliver on the promise our country has.” labour.org.uk/press/keir-starmer-sets-out-labours-5-point-plan-to-make-brexit-work/
