It wouldn't be a repeated mistake by the electorate, it would just be going to back to what the lectorate decided once. Surely the result would be the same? Many of the those who voted (especially in the Red Wall constituencies) came to realise their mistake as evidenced by the Tories downward trend in the polls even before Truss appeared on the scene to crash them further. Re-appointing Boris would simply rub salt in the wound.

I think there is value in going back to the old system , in which we had elections and those who were duly elected get deposed in another election, rather than being deposed by the civil service and media.

I partially agree. If the Tories wish to re-elect Boris as their leader then call a GE with Boris replacing Truss as the front man and let the voters decide.

Saville proved the DPP needed to make yet ANOTHER change in its system... Oh he certainly did that. But it was never going to happen: Labour's always been chock full of paedos, makes you wonder how much dirt he had on the rest of them. Makes me wonder just how much dirt there is in the minds of some onlookers.

He's always been more of a showman than a politician. These are no times for showmen.

In answer to the opening post Paddy Power had him at about 4 to 1 before Braverman went.

If Johnson becomes PM again there will be a lot of bloodletting and revenge in the Tory party, bring it on.

In answer to the opening post Paddy Power had him at about 4 to 1 before Braverman went. Worth my usual modest punt.
I will put a score on him.
I have just written my will which cost me £240. The government is giving me £250 for the Christmas coal allowance, which leaves £10 over, so win or lose, Liz Truss is covering half the bet. Not very gallant I admit, but she can't be very happy in her job and I am sure she would be better off watching Boris showing her how to enjoy the job.

If Johnson becomes PM again there will be a lot of bloodletting and revenge in the Tory party, bring it on. There is blood letting now and that has nothing to do with Boris. The problem they have with Truss is that they cannot have a vote of no confidence as she hasn't been in the post long enough.

He's always been more of a showman than a politician. These are no times for showmen. None of the runners are serious enough to implement the reform the UK needs to start digging itself out the hole we have created with long term bad management. At least a showman is a showman. Doing something to address the problems will come when the uk public realises something really has to be done (ie there is no choice).

Plus, if Boris gets back in quickly they won't even have to change the wallpaper.
Win/win!

Boris was an irresponsible piss artist that treated the customs and rules of Parliament with the most flamboyant disregard. When I look at the competition I can't wait to see him back.
