Shock as religious groups pressure school into suspending pupils for minor damage to QuranA school in Wakefield has taken the extraordinary step of suspending four pupils for slightly damaging a copy of the Quran. Kettlethorpe High School, which is a school with no religious character, acted under pressure from local Muslims (Shock) including local councillors and mosque leaders, after the book was apparently dropped on the floor, causing minor scuff marks to some pages and a small tear on the cover. We are reminded on an almost daily basis that the delicate feelings of Muslims are more important than anyone else's feelings in the world. Muslims can of course say what the hell they like, and anyone who raises so much as a quizzical eyebrow is immediately shouted down as a nasty racist islamophobe. PS. In the none Islamic UK there are no blasphemy laws, and believe it or not, bigamy is illegal. Ha.

Btw, I just learned that the reason the kids in the OP were suspended is because the police recorded it as a hate crime incident! I mean ffs what has gone wrong. The country has gone mad.

It's a weird one this with apparently false stories being circulated esp by local Islamic agitators. Hard to see how the pages did get damaged (see pic below) just by dropping it so it could be that it was indeed used as a football although the school denies it To be clear IMHO anyone issuing a death threat to anyone and especially to children should be locked up until such time as the victim(s) no longer feels frightened - if that means jailed forever then so be it. I'm not really interested in the BBC's take, I think we all know what the BBC angle is. However, if a Muslim boy had scratched a copy of the Bible in this Christian country there would be no reaction, the news agencies who are reporting this incident wouldn't dare report it. And that's dangerous because it's building and fuelling an atmosphere of resentment.

This is a culture war which was the inevitable result of our stupid politicians allowing the mass immigration of muslims. And they've allowed them to take over in many parts of the country and even to set up their own Sharia Courts and demand people obey their laws - which include laws of blasphemy. Sharia marriage (where women have no rights) has become commonplace. And the government has done NOTHING to prevent this, because they haven't got the balls to face these religious bigots down. They did nothing to try to catch the muslims who threatened Salman Rushdie and have done nothing to catch the muslims who have driven the Wakefield teacher into hiding. These are crimes and the police should have been involved but were not.
The case of kicking a koran around, however, is absolutely nothing to do with the police - NO law has been broken. And it's also NOT the job of teachers to try to police a culture war. If the boys were kicking a book around they should have been told to stop. The fact that the book was the koran is of no significance. So why have these boys been suspended? What would have happened if some muslim boys had been kicking around a copy of the bible. Nothing - and nor should it.
We've not only allowed these fucking bastards to set up their own laws in this country - and the government have done nothing about it - but our police have started trying to enforce Sharia laws. What's the matter with this country? And the idiotic Lefty teachers are also kowtowing to the muslims. If any muslims don't like their laws being broken that's tough. And if they threaten people who break their stupid laws they should arrested.
But of course no one has the balls to stand up to these people.

Here's my two bobs worth on this sheer nonsense, Sharia Law does not apply in the UK it has no legal standing IMO, the only people that will avail themselves of it and abide by it are devoted Muslims, for E.G Divorcing Wives, if both parties agree if not the wife can ask an English Court to deal with it
The only part of the UK that still has Laws on Blasphemy is Northern Ireland, no such Offence in England or Wales as far as I am aware
How this Koran brought to school by one of the Pupils was apparently slightly damaged be accident if so no offence, if the boy who brought it to school bought it his personal property if damaged deliberately no offence
The School suspended the boys involved hasty decision IMO, but as the boys have been threatened probably by Muslim Religious Zealots for this storm in a tea cup perhaps for the better to calm things down, the Police obviously were made aware of the threats made so recorded it and became involved , but as the Mother of the Autistic Boy has stated she does not want them to pursue or prosecute anyone, therefore the Police cannot even if they wanted to take it any further which I very much doubt. IMHO
As for Sonia Sodha the lead writer for the Guardian the fountain of all knowledge and accuracy, she claims the Handbook issued to Police was found to be unlawful last year, why I don't know not explained in here, but what I do know the publishes of these Handbooks are usually published by Blackstone's well known publisher and trusted by the legal profession for years, first port of call on Legislation that is why every Court in England and Wales has them to refer to same for every Solicitor, Lawyer, KC, and Legal Scholars.
Time that some Muslims who live here and adhere strictly Sharia Laws and customs that rules their entire lives 24/7 were told this is not a Muslim Country, if you don't like it Foxtrot Oscar go somewhere else

We don't take people to court for hating their neighbour, do we? Nor do we stone people for adultery. Sharia law is different, it is incompatible with a democratic Christian or secular state and should be disregarded. If the book has been damaged intentionally, we already have the Criminal Damage Act to cover that. This religion of peace (misnomer) seems to make a habit of getting highly offended about their books or people drawing cartoons. If their god cannot stand on his own two feet, he's not much of a god. If their whole complaint is based on their religion alone, the authorities need to tell them to "do one". More politely than that, of course. |

I think there more to this story than just a few scuffed pages and a torn page has reported.
Especally seeing the school suspened the boys and called the police in and then the police charging the Boys.
It seems one of the Boys brought the koran in to damage it publicly.
