For many people there is only one issue. Northern Ireland is part of the UK, not the EU. The simpletons Oh man, you're so cliché. Since 2016 remainers have been shouting from the rooftops that only thick racist extreme right wing knuckle draggers voted for Brexit.

Indeed, it was mentioned a couple of hours ago that documents being released to journalists in Brussels, contradict what Sunak has been saying in several interviews today. The wheels are comming off this so called deal by the hour. I cant wait to hear what ERG and DUP lawyers make of it. Yep, leave it in the hands of the DUP. Reading what Sunak has claimed and the EU say, I'd be content with the DUP's position either way. After all it effects them more than it does me, and who am I to say the DUP should be ignored. They are most loyally British, more than anyone else and ultimately if they don't like it they will block Stormont from sitting and I'd agree with whatever decision they make. Just think, if it wasn't for them this Protocol wouldn't have been improved already. They're doing what the British government should have done with the EU long ago - playing hardball and rightly so IMO. You watch the media try and grind them down though if they don't roll over and have their tummies tickled, in order to lose support and sympathy from voters in N.Ireland. This is the problem for Sunak, he can quite easily get a majority to vote for this deal in Parliament irrespective of the views of the Unionists or ERG (Labour have already said they will support him). What he cannot do is force the DUP back into power sharing - and if that does not happen what was the point of the renegotiation..

People don't seem to realise how 'loyal' loyalists in Northern Ireland are. They are very British and proud of it. And not for the first time the government are shitting on them in favour of the EU. I have every confidence that Sunak will force it through, but it wont be easy and he wont do it without remainer votes from the Labour benches. And with an election next year does he really think appeasing the EU makes him look electable? I'm not just a Tory voter I'm a party member, and I'm probably going to vote Reform. Well done Sunak.

Oh it's all gone quiet over there Oh it's all gone quiet over there Oh it's all gone quiet, all gone quiet, all gone quiet over there. And again... I've been out with friends. Had a good time actually, alcohol and grub were both involved Anyway you got it wrong. The EU did not tell the Dutch to cull animals. Had you actually read your own link you'd have seen that. The EU nations all agreed they'd cut NOx levels - quite right too, it kills children through to old age pensioners in horrendous numbers - and the Dutch being a sovereign nation decided themselves how they'd go about meeting that. It was their choice, it's a lie to say otherwise. All of this was gone through at length months ago when Vinny raised the issue. Maybe you missed it ukpoliticsdebate.boards.net/thread/729/policy-close-000-dutch-farms

Really? We only had the REF in 2016 because cameron was belittled by the EUSSR. And even he thought we would all vote remain....Oh dear that went well for him didn't it?
That was 40 years later, you could have voted for a government in favour of leaving at anytime in that period. Just as you are suggesting we remainers do now. Oh, and Cameron was not belittled by the EU, they met all his demands with positive suggestions. Meanwhile on planet earth rather than planet nog....Why not just accept the fact that you lost and no amount of the remnant bitching will ever change the fact.
